Episode 10 recap: Ye Wenjie reminisces about the past

After leaving, Shi Qiang couldn't help but find Shen Yu Fei's words very strange. It was similar to the MLM organization he had previously investigated. Sitting in the car, Wang Miao quickly thought about the mystery of Yang Dong's death. The collective gain for both of them was Yang Dong because she didn't commit suicide when she was supposed to, but it seemed she committed suicide when she shouldn't have. To make a breakthrough, they needed to find the key point of the problem. They immediately decided to find Yang Dong's boyfriend, Ding Yi.

On the other side, Xu Dongdong, under the signal of Shi Qiang, found Ding Yi and asked about their relationship at the time. She quickly handed over the information to Shi Qiang. Wang Miao took the information and soon discovered that Ding Yi didn't even choose their wedding invitation cards. Xu Bing Bing also knew that Yang Dong, as a woman, didn't like shopping and only bought clothes in black and white, and she would buy several sets at once.

In Wang Miao's impression, he understood that Yang Dong was a very simple person. After reading the information in his hands, he immediately thought of the first time he went to Ding Yi's house and saw a red dress hanging on the clothes rack. Xu Bing Bing also noticed those clothes, which were supposedly bought by Yang Dong and Ding Yi together. Shi Qiang found it illogical because Yang Dong, who only cared about physics and paid no attention to her own life, could suddenly let go of everything and join Ding Yi in house decoration and wedding preparations.

This struck him as very strange. Faced with Pan Han's intentional targeting, Shen Yu Fei quickly sent a message to the Commander in search of answers. Upon receiving the results, she immediately returned to the scientific discussion conference to continue presenting and discussing the meaning of scientific existence.

Shi Qiang quickly made a list and discussed the key points of Yang Dong's suicide. He felt that the crucial question was what the deceased had done in the final three days. He soon cast a suspicious look towards Professor Ye Wenjie and suggested that Wang Miao should find her and have a chat. Upon hearing this, Wang Miao became so infuriated that he turned around and left.

After hearing what Shi Qiang said, Chang Wei Si believed that Shen Yu Fei might be an alien. Wang Miao also thought it was possible, likening it to the notion of ghosts where aliens were just a synonym. Anything beyond the natural phenomena and unexplainable by science could be attributed to aliens. Now, all of this was happening right before them, and he didn't care whether they called it aliens or ghosts. What Wang Miao wanted to explore was what it truly was, how it existed, what powers it possessed, and what its purpose was. He was eager to understand everything because it held the greatest value for everyone.

In his spare time, Wang Miao took the opportunity to give a lecture to Professor Ye Wenjie's students. The student quickly expressed gratitude to him. Although Professor Ye Wenjie had retired for many years, she still had some interest in academia. Wang Miao took the chance to share his perplexities about Professor Ye's past experiences. After listening, Professor Ye believed that it was not a secret that couldn't be spoken of, and she soon began recounting her own past experiences.

During her younger days, Ye Wenjie was assigned to work in the Daxing'anling Mountains. She quickly became acquainted with journalist Bai Mu Lin, and the two had engaging conversations. Bai Mu Lin could also sense the unspoken communication between them, something that others lacked. Bai Mu Lin soon entrusted his cherished books to Ye Wenjie, asking her to safeguard them. In her leisure time, Ye Wenjie carefully studied the contents of the books, which left her deeply shocked.

Later, when Ye Wenjie returned the books, she coincidentally encountered Bai Mu Lin writing a letter to the central authorities. She enthusiastically helped him by transcribing the contents of the letter. Bai Mu Lin praised Ye Wenjie's handwriting and immediately recognized that she was a physics student. He also felt that talented individuals like Ye Wenjie were wasted in such a small place.

Ye Wenjie didn't disclose that it was fortunate for her to be able to enter the northern forest farm. In that moment, the room was quiet, and Ye Wenjie could hear the sound of the pen scratching on paper and smell the scent of sawdust from pine wood. Since her father's passing, she hadn't experienced such a relaxed and warm atmosphere for a long time.
