Episode 29 recap: The Judgment Day was destroyed.
After discussing the matter, Chang Wei Si, Shi Qiang, and others also decided to go to the destination together. After packing everything, they were about to set off. There were many people in this operation, and wherever they went, it was filled with dust. Chang Wei Si reminded everyone that the moment of unity among humans was about to come. He stood up and faced the crowd, announcing that the Guzheng operation was officially beginning.
Planes flew across the sky, under the blue sky and white clouds. Wang Miao silently observed everything in the sunlight. Ever since they learned that an alien fleet was flying towards Earth, everyone had become united in spirit. They made an assumption that thousands of years ago or even earlier, humans knew that there would be an alien invasion fleet arriving thousands of years later. They didn't know what the current state of human civilization was like.
An emergency report quickly appeared on the screen, stating that the target was one kilometer away from the Qin. As they looked at everything, people around them murmured about the appearance of the new ship. The people on the Judgment Day were killing each other frantically every day, like throwing away garbage. The leader felt that this was the true nature of humanity, and they didn't deserve to serve the Judgment Day. Massive police forces arrived at the scene, and they began the Guzheng operation underwater. Wang Miao also rushed to the scene with everyone to prepare. He also communicated with foreign friends at the scene. In their view, assuming that thousands of years ago, they knew that an alien fleet would invade and arrive thousands of years later, they also didn't know what the current state of human civilization was like. Wang Miao couldn't imagine it either. His friends believed that he could become the Galahad of the new century and looked forward to Wang Miao achieving great results on his own.
Later, Wang Miao observed through the telescope that the personnel on the ship were gradually suffering casualties, and the ship itself was collapsing bit by bit. Flames erupted from within, and the crew members fell one after another, gradually turning into a pile of ruins. Then, the personnel in the combat center began the search for Trisolaran information. After witnessing everything, the foreign friend was ready to witness the performance of the Chinese Guzheng later. Wang Miao clenched his hands tightly and agreed friendly.
The firefighters also took action, and the planes in the sky performed rescue operations on the ship. They extinguished the fire and went directly into the wreckage. Everyone then took away the hard drive information. Meanwhile, Bai Qiu'en, lying on the ground, witnessed them leaving with his own eyes.
In the subsequent interrogation, Ye Wenjie informed Chang Wei Si and others that she herself did not understand the Trisolaran civilization, and the information they knew was extremely limited. In fact, apart from the core members of the ETO who intercepted the Trisolaran information, no one else had a clear understanding of the true and detailed nature of the Trisolaran civilization.
Ye Wenjie held hope for the Trisolarans, imagining that they could come to her world, which indicated that their science had developed to a considerably advanced level. Such a scientific and enlightened society would undoubtedly possess higher levels of civilization and moral standards. Chang Wei Si also informed Ye Wenjie that his team had obtained all the Trisolaran information intercepted by the ETO. When Ye Wenjie learned that a lot of information had been intercepted, she felt skeptical because the efficiency of long-distance interstellar communication was very low. Initially, Chang Wei Si shared the same belief, but the reality exceeded everyone's imagination.
On the other hand, Wang Miao returned to the Trisolaran world with Shi Qiang. They arrived at the listening station and witnessed many scenes of devastation. The Trisolaran world no longer required extensive monitoring, and outdated monitoring stations like Number 1379 would be decommissioned. The monitors themselves would face forced dehydration and await their fate of being incinerated.
Throughout its life, the monitor had only known endless loneliness in the confined space of the listening station. Even in dreams, it did not want to lose that distant paradise, which led to thoughts of betrayal. The insatiable desire of the current Trisolaran civilization for living space, akin to the intense and boundless hunger of a starving person for food, made it impossible for the monitor to share that world with humans from Earth. It could only unhesitatingly destroy Earth's civilization and fully occupy the living space of that planetary system.
In the beginning of the first episode, young Ye Wenjie receives a message from a planet in the universe with the words "Do not answer." The sender of the message is a Trisolaran, an inhabitant of a planet called Trisolaris.
Trisolaris has three suns, and due to its harsh environment, the Trisolarans are constantly searching for new planets for survival. Despite the warnings from the Trisolaran, young Ye Wenjie, disillusioned by the injustices of the world, disregards the advice and sends a message out into the universe.
The director skillfully intertwines two different timelines in the filming of this storyline, showcasing both young Ye Wenjie and elderly Ye Wenjie. Both of them exhibit expressions of pain, exhaustion, and numbness in their eyes.
I must commend the two actresses for their exceptional performances, as they truly embody their respective characters. The director effectively portrays the characters' emotional states through the use of profile shots and dim lighting.
Don't answer, don't answer. A friendly reminder from the Trisolaran civilization!
Ye Wenjie, after witnessing her father being killed before her eyes, her mother's madness, and the betrayal and false accusations from her friend Bai Mu Lin, was deeply disappointed in human society due to this series of blows and injuries.
I have a question. If the Trisolaran received the message and didn't want a reply, why did they send a message saying "Don't reply" as if they had three hundred silver taels hidden here?
If they didn't send that reminder, would Ye Wenjie know that the Earth's message had been sent to the Trisolarans? If the Trisolaran sent this reminder out of necessity, does that mean the message has already been known by other Trisolarans?
Then what's the use of that reminder? Could it be that the higher-level Trisolarans have survival rules that we haven't thought of yet? If so, the author should have mentioned it a bit.
Doesn't he want his "Three-Body" to be aimed at all audiences?
