Episode 11 recap: The family of three made a cake together.
Chen Jia Jun woke up in the bathtub, feeling groggy and unaware of what had happened. He pulled Cao Mu, but unexpectedly, Cao Mu fell into Chen Jia Jun's arms, hoping that Cao Mu could kiss her. Cao Mu replied that he was being polite now, but it wasn't the case when they were at the bar. Xin Qi suggested that they make a cake together as a family.
Xin Qi went to buy shoes but couldn't find any that she liked after browsing for a while. Ha Di gave her some recommendations, and Xin Qi decided to have the salesperson bring her the best-selling pair. After Zhou Ru Ji finished her surgery and returned, the head nurse was still there but preparing to leave. Yao Zi Zhu suddenly appeared and said that the head nurse had said she would be back soon, but Yao Zi Zhu had been waiting for over two hours. Zhou Ru Ji asked her why she came here, and Yao Zi Zhu said she wanted to treat her to a meal or order takeout for her. Zhou Ru Ji expressed that she was already tired and suggested that Yao Zi Zhu should quickly go back if she had nothing else to do. Yao Zi Zhu had no choice but to leave.
The next day, Min Hui woke up late and asked Xin Qi to take Quan Quan to kindergarten. Xin Qi took out a pair of shoes, saying they were given by a friend but he couldn't use them, so he gave them to Min Hui, adding that they were definitely better than what someone else would buy. Min Hui said she didn't wear high heels, but Xin Qi showed her a pair of flat shoes and helped her put them on. They were standing close to each other and felt a bit embarrassed. Min Hui found the shoes quite comfortable but wondered why Xin Qi gave them to her.
Quan Quan asked Xin Qi if she was jealous of Zhou Ru Ji. Xin Qi quickly denied it, but Quan Quan felt that adults often said one thing but meant another. Cao Mu and Min Hui went shopping together, and Min Hui commented that Cao Mu didn't have so many swimsuits and wondered who gave her the shoes and if there was any connection between them.
Min Hui came to pick up Quan Quan, who said that Xin Qi had promised to come and pick him up. Another mother of a child invited Min Hui to join a parent-child activity. Min Hui replied that she was busy with work and might not have the time. Quan Quan expressed his desire to go, and Min Hui said she would try to make time. The other mother mentioned making cakes, but Min Hui didn't know how to do that.
Quan Quan asked Min Hui if Xin Qi could also come along, and Min Hui said she would ask him when Xin Qi returned. Ha Di informed Xin Qi that Ang Ji's shareholders were unwilling to invest in the project, considering it to have a long cycle and no foreign research results. Xin Qi believed that it didn't mean domestic research couldn't produce results and asked Ha Di to book a train ticket to Beijing for him. When Xin Qi returned, he told Min Hui that he had a business trip, and Min Hui didn't inquire further.
Min Hui tried making cupcakes at home but failed, and Quan Quan recorded it to show Xin Qi. Ha Di took Quan Quan to buy snacks, and Quan Quan called Xin Qi, mentioning the kindergarten parent-child meeting. Xin Qi said he had been busy these days. Zhou Ru Ji happened to visit Min Hui's home and noticed the smoke, realizing that Min Hui had failed in baking the cake. Zhou Ru Ji followed a tutorial and succeeded on the first attempt, teaching Min Hui as well.
Cao Mu went to learn swimming from Chen Jia Jun, but Cao Mu ended up drowning alone. Chen Jia Jun saw it and jumped in to rescue him. Chen Jia Jun and Cao Mu went to a bar for drinks, and Cao Mu said they had each deceived the other, considering it even. Chen Jia Jun got drunk, and Cao Mu took him back home. Xin Qi suggested making a cake together as a family of three, and they all laughed and played while making it. Zhou Ru Ji brought a cake but seeing them in that state, didn't approach them.
Five years ago, Xin Qi and Min Hui went to eat cake, and a couple next to them put an engagement ring inside the cake as a proposal. Min Hui found it particularly tacky. Xin Qi quickly took away the cake and bought Min Hui a bouquet of flowers. Min Hui called Xin Qi, thinking he had been in a car accident and was extremely worried. Xin Qi hurriedly reassured her.
