Episode 16 recap: Xin Qi apologizes to Min Hui.
Director Lin mentioned that other single mothers, even after divorce, could have fathers to help take care of their children, unlike Min Hui, whose child was already grown up and she didn't even know who the father was. Cao Mu approached them and asked if Director Lin had a problem. Director Lin insisted that she was telling the truth and wondered if she would be sued for defamation.
Xin Qi suddenly intervened and said that whoever claimed Min Hui's child had no father was wrong because he was the father of her child. Xin Qi apologized to Min Hui, acknowledging that he shouldn't have said such harsh words and shouldn't have broken up with her. He asked Min Hui if she would give him another chance.
The next morning, Cao Mu heard someone knocking on her door. When she opened it, she found Chen Jia Jun standing there. Chen Jia Jun said that Cao Mu mentioned missing him, so he came to see her. Cao Mu quickly denied it, saying that she didn't miss Chen Jia Jun. However, Chen Jia Jun showed her a video on his phone, which was a recording of Cao Mu calling him the day before.
In the conference hall, Min Hui suggested that Xin Qi also needed to socialize and proposed handing over full responsibility to Cao Mu. Xin Qi stated that he was attending the meeting as an audience member and didn't need to interact with those people. Director Lin showed the meeting list to Cheng Qi Rang, saying that Min Hui was the first speaker.
Cheng Qi Rang asked her to invite Chairman Tang. Chairman Tang came to find Min Hui and explained that due to scheduling issues, her speech had to be canceled. However, Min Hui stated that she had been preparing for a long time, and her speech would not be canceled. Chairman Tang decided to let Min Hui deliver her speech.
Xin Qi sent a message asking Min Hui why she hadn't delivered her speech yet. Min Hui explained that Cheng Qi Rang had someone cancel her speech, but she fought for it and would go last. Xin Qi said he would go find the organizing committee, but Min Hui assured him she could handle it herself.
On stage, Chairman Tang announced the end of the conference, but Min Hui took the stage and mentioned that she hadn't given her speech yet, even though she was supposed to be the first. Now they wanted to cancel her speech. Cheng Qi Rang asked Chairman Tang to step down first, and Min Hui said she would only take ten minutes of their time. Many people were interested in her topic and stayed to listen.
In the evening, there was a banquet. Cao Mu said she would take Min Hui shopping for clothes, but Min Hui felt it was unnecessary and that what she was wearing was fine. When Min Hui returned to her hotel room, she found a gift box containing clothes that Xin Qi had bought for her.
Cao Mu saw Min Hui coming in wearing a formal dress and asked if Xin Qi bought it for her. Min Hui instructed Quan Quan not to mention that they knew Xin Qi. Quan Quan went to eat, and Director Lin asked if he was Min Hui's son. Quan Quan stated that he didn't know her and wanted to leave. Director Lin held him back, and Quan Quan shouted, claiming that she hurt him. Min Hui rushed over, and everyone was surprised to see that she had such a grown-up son.

However, she also believed that since she had already asked, she should clarify things. Xin Qi took out a bracelet and put it on Min Hui's wrist, saying that he had fixed the bracelet he found, and the answer was already clear. Chen Jia Jun heard about Min Hui and Su Tian from Cao Mu and barged in to find Min Hui. He asked if she rushed to get off the car and took away Su Tian's chance of survival, causing the death of his sister.
Min Hui was surprised to learn that Chen Jia Jun was Su Tian's brother.
