Episode 4 recap: Min Hui received a cooperation opportunity.
Cheng Qi Rang called Xin Qi to celebrate, and Lin Zongjian joined them. Xin Qi mentioned that they had already chosen the celebration venue three days ago. Cheng Qi Rang explained that it was his habit to plan the celebration in advance, considering it a good omen. The assistant received the voting cards, and Xin Qi asked him to take notes and analyze them.
Min Hui secretly followed Jiaren Hospital's director, Pu Hua, and saw him and his wife visiting a luxury mansion. Xin Qi also arrived and tapped Min Hui from behind, narrowly avoiding being hit by her. Min Hui's clothes got torn, and Xin Qi took off his jacket and gave it to her.
Min Hui told Zhou Ru Ji about the incident, and Zhou Ru Ji believed that their director wouldn't do such a thing. If something happened, he would be the first one held accountable. Min Hui mentioned that Pu Hua would retire next year, speculating that he might be trying to make some money in his final year. Zhou Ru Ji mentioned that Quan Quan would be discharged next week and looked oddly at Xin Qi's jacket.
The assistant gave the handwriting analysis results to Xin Qi, stating that Pu Hua recently bought a house for 12 million yuan in full payment. Min Hui secretly followed Pu Hua and saw him buying clothes. She overheard him talking about the project with Guanchao on a phone call inside the fitting room. Min Hui eavesdropped, but Pu Hua was about to come out. Luckily, Xin Qi was in another fitting room and pulled Min Hui inside.
Min Hui leaned against Xin Qi and left a lip print on his clothes. She asked Xin Qi why he was there and if he also suspected Pu Hua, but Xin Qi stated that he had voted for the Guanchao project. Min Hui was surprised by his response. A waiter brought the clothes and held them accountable. Xin Qi claimed that Min Hui was responsible and asked her to pay, mentioning that he didn't carry money and was unfamiliar with mobile payments since he recently returned to the country. Min Hui decided to buy one piece of each color in that style and size, intending to give them to Xin Qi.
Min Hui said that she followed Pu Hua for a day, and today he was buying necklaces and luxury watches that exceeded his income. Min Hui expressed that since their goals were aligned, they could collaborate. Xin Qi was unwilling, but Min Hui mentioned that it was Bluebird Investment's first entry into Bincheng, and he certainly didn't want to do anything that would damage their reputation. Xin Qi agreed to collaborate but insisted on following his own judgment. Min Hui believed that in a collaboration, the person with the valid reasoning should be listened to.
Min Hui arranged a meeting with Mrs. Pu, wanting to discuss the collaboration with her. Mrs. Pu stated that she doesn't interfere with Pu Hua's work. Xin Qi arranged a meeting with Director Lin, deliberately making her see Min Hui meeting Mrs. Pu. Xin Qi pretended that he left his phone in the car and went to retrieve it, but in reality, he had placed a phone in the private room that was on an ongoing call. As expected, Director Lin called Mrs. Pu to question her and even mentioned their collaboration. Min Hui and Xin Qi overheard the conversation. Xin Qi stated that he would cancel the collaboration with Guanchao, and Min Hui acknowledged that they only had an opportunity. Cheng Qi Rang was furious that the collaboration was so easily ruined by Director Lin.
Bai'an Technology obtained an opportunity to collaborate with Jiaren Hospital. CEO Cao gathered everyone to celebrate and invited Xin Qi as well. Everyone toasted to Xin Qi, and Min Hui deliberately drank on behalf of Xin Qi to shield him from alcohol. Min Hui got drunk, and Xin Qi mentioned that just because she helped him with alcohol, it didn't mean he would forgive her.
Min Hui stated that she doesn't owe him anything. She had explained to Xin Qi before, but he didn't believe her. Cao Mu came to Bluebird Investment for a meeting, but Xin Qi asked many questions that she couldn't answer. It was apparent to Xin Qi that he was intentionally making things difficult, so he quickly called Min Hui over.
Five years ago, when Xin Qi had to undergo surgery, he saw Min Hui just as he was about to leave.
