Episode 26 recap: Lian Maner finished the game.
Previously, because they were associated with the Ningyuan Marquis, the Song family's house was also ransacked. Luckily, the Fourth Young Master of the Song family didn't concern himself with family matters, so he wasn't affected. However, now everyone dislikes people from the Song family, so the Fourth Young Master is unable to find a job. The aunt and uncle of Lian Maner's family also have a cold attitude towards them and don't welcome them. They believe that Lian Maner and the others have seen the kind of life they are living now, so they ask them to go back first if there's nothing else to do.
Lian Maner's grandfather suggests that they all go back together, but the aunt and uncle are unwilling. Lian Maner asks Lian Hua Er to come out, and Lian Hua Er feels that after everything they have done for the Lian family, how could they just forget about it and be willing to live with them again.
Lian Maner clarifies that they never said they would forgive, but because they are all family, they want to let go of past grievances and continue living together. Soon it was time for the Lunar New Year, and Lian Maner's father wrote many blessings, which everyone put up.
Lian Hua Er and the others also returned, and Lian Maner's grandfather was very happy to see them. They all sat together to have the New Year's Eve dinner. Lian Maner's father said that after the New Year, they would demolish the courtyard wall, and Lian Maner's mother agreed. Lian Xiu Er thanked Lian Maner for helping her before. If it weren't for Lian Maner, she wouldn't even know where she is now. The aunt and uncle also drank together and let go of their past grievances.
Shi San also celebrated the New Year with everyone and expressed his intention to propose marriage. He gave Lian Ye Er his waist token, field deed, and other belongings, indicating that everything he had belonged to Lian Ye Er. Lian Ye Er agreed, and the aunt and uncle were also in favor of this union. The uncle asked Shi San to treat Lian Ye Er well in the future.
After finishing the New Year's Eve dinner, everyone released sky lanterns and made wishes. Lian Maner wished for Shen Nuo's safety. The next day, Lian Maner came to greet his grandparents for the New Year, and they gave Lian Maner red envelopes.
Lian Maner went to find the uncle and aunt and told them that he would let them manage the restaurant. The uncle thought that Lian Maner must have come up with another way to make money.
Lian Maner hopes that they can invite Lian Hua Er and his spouse to come and work at the restaurant. They will be paid the same wages as before, and the uncle and aunt agree to it.
Lian Maner comes to find his parents and gives them a deed, indicating that he has bought a house in town and wants them to live there. The income from the restaurant will be given to them by the uncle and aunt every month, so that they can have a worry-free life. Lian Maner's mother asks what Lian Maner plans to do in the future, and Lian Maner says that he wants to open a larger restaurant.
Shi San wants to take Lian Ye Er to meet his parents. Lian Maner comes to see them off, and everyone is reluctant to part ways. Lian Maner gives the letter from Shen Nuo to Wang You Heng, saying that Shen Nuo has recommended Wang You Heng to Hu the Imperial Physician, and Hu has agreed to take Wang You Heng as his disciple.
Wang You Heng is also delighted to hear this. Lian Maner wants to sleep with his mother, and his mother agrees. Lian Maner originally wanted to put the silver into a box, but then Xiao Qi comes and calls Lian Maner to go to the field. When Lian Maner arrives, he sees Shen Nuo.
Shen Nuo says that she will always be by Lian Maner's side, allowing him to pursue what he wants to do, and they can live a peaceful life together. Lian Maner finishes the game, and the staff say that they will send him the prize money for the game later.
Lian Maner asks if the characters in the staff are all NPCs, but they don't answer. Lian Maner goes out and sees a photo frame with a little horse that Shen Nuo made for him before, and he smiles. Lian Maner sees that the game designer is actually Shen Yi and turns around to see him walking towards him with the little horse in hand.
(The end of the drama)
I can also understand why Shen Nuo didn't know much in the first few episodes. After all, Shi San knows how to do everything, from cooking, feeding pigs and dogs, to washing and weaving clothes.
He's a versatile little housekeeper. Shen Nuo probably had a carefree life when it came to daily chores with Shi San by her side. I'm starting to understand why, even though it was supposed to be a secret investigation, she spoiled Nuo Nuo with the habits of a young master.
Sorry! Our husband was only able to focus on developing his intellectual and combat abilities at the beginning.
Although, in the last episode when Man'er bid farewell to everyone one by one, I was almost in tears. Only when you truly follow a drama from beginning to end can you understand the rollercoaster of emotions that fans go through.
You also realize how we persistently recommended it despite being mocked, and how ecstatic we were when the word-of-mouth reversed. Today, I saw many people questioning the ending, but as a fan who watched every episode without missing one from the start, I am very satisfied!
Here's a bad idea: the screenwriters could turn those storylines that disgust the viewers into game tasks. The tasks in the game would involve making all the unreasonable things seem reasonable.
Many times, players might complain about the tasks but still have to complete them. By framing it as a game, all the plotlines that viewers don't want to see or find unreasonable would become necessary plotlines.
However, it seems like the directors and writers have almost completely forgotten about framing it as a game.
I can't help but criticize some of the clichéd plots in this Chinese drama. Lian Man Er being held hostage and Shen Nuo sacrificing herself, as if it's an eye for an eye. Even if Shen Nuo is killed, Lian Man Er won't escape either.
There's no need to overly emphasize the unwavering love between the main characters. Moreover, when Shen Nuo was almost suffocated on the ground by the enemy, it took Lian Man Er a great deal of courage to pick up the knife and attack.
It's hard to believe that she hesitated for even a second when seeing someone being choked. Not to mention the scene where Shen Nuo steps in to block the knife, it's just too clichéd.
Maner is a child who lacks love and care in reality. In this reality show game, she has experienced the bonds of family, love, and friendship. Isn't our own life similar?
Although life has its difficulties and we encounter both good and bad people around us, some people don't know how to love because they don't understand it.
I wish that everyone could love and be accepting like in the game. Then every family would be beautiful and happy.
In fact, the ending is not a typical happy ending. Man Er will eventually leave and return to the modern era. Given the nature of Man Er's parents, it's impossible for them to completely cut off ties with their problematic family members.
Man Er will use gratitude and interests to keep her relatives bound within the "happy family" community, and it's unlikely that any major conflicts will arise again. Man Er, as a modern university student, is already remarkable.
One major advantage of this drama is that it doesn't rely on miraculous plot devices or mindless excitement. It's suitable for the whole family to watch together, and the clash of different generations' perspectives is truly interesting.
Finally understood. Shen Nuo died when encountering an ambush and was reborn. So, after dying in the Wu family, he could only exit the game and return to the real world. He is the director of the game development department, so he took some time to program the subsequent reunion.
Actually, the one he reunited with was the real NPC Shen Nuo. Moreover, he immediately made Man Er end the game and return to reality to meet you.
The plot starts off strong but loses its momentum later on. The first half is enjoyable, but the second half is disheartening to watch. Take characters like Lian Hua Er, for example. They commit numerous evil deeds, deceiving the female lead and causing her mother to have a miscarriage, nearly costing both their lives.
They even manipulate others to administer poison, yet they don't face any real consequences. Who could forgive and accept such a family member? Forcing a forced happy ending is truly unnecessary.
Why could they accept the eldest brother's family in the end? By "accept," I mean they accepted them without forgiving them. There are probably three reasons for this:
1. The eldest brother's family has already paid a heavy price. The eldest brother has gone completely crazy, and his wife has to take care of him. Huaer and Song Gongzi also have almost no way to turn things around.
Therefore, they can hardly cause any more trouble, making reconciliation possible.
2. Moreover, the protagonist made it clear that they haven't forgiven them.
They just don't want to make their grandparents suffer. They said, "At least come back for a New Year's Eve dinner." It means that after the meal, everyone can go their own way.
3. Besides, you have only seen the story of the eldest brother deceiving and harming the family. But you haven't seen the happy days of the family's deep brotherly bond in the previous twenty or thirty years.
It's difficult to understand if you're not real brothers. So, I think accepting the reconciliation is also acceptable.
It's so self-righteous. The female lead has been unilaterally sacrificing for her family [except the third household], always going out of her way to help anyone in need. When she was kidnapped, she risked her life to save Hua and her little aunt when they were kidnapped.
Did they ever do anything good for her? No. And in the end, everything is happily resolved? It's quite ridiculous. So their only "punishment" is that Uncle Lian Ye Er went crazy and Aunt Lian Ye Er was abandoned by her mother and ignored by the second household.
Even when the female lead was almost killed by the heartless first household, she still rushed to help them. I really can't accept it. At first, I thought she was kind-hearted, but she went too far.
In the end, the whole family is still united in searching for Uncle Lian Ye Er and persuading him and his family to come back. It's really unnecessary. It makes me feel like she's a sanctimonious white lotus.
I'm angry. It significantly lowers my impression. At first, I thought the drama was really good, but now... cheating the family out of money, selling family members, and wanting to harm the family members of Uncle Lian Ye Er's family.
I don't understand why everything needs to end in a happy reunion.
The cruelty of this drama's finale lies in the fact that it relies on the victims' resilience, self-rescue, soft-heartedness, and kindness to achieve a happy ending for the whole family. Sacrificing themselves, experiencing stillbirths, selling daughters and sisters— all the victims are women.
In the first ending, Man Er was almost burned to death and ejected from the game. Man Er's mother had a miscarriage. Without the intervention of the second male lead, Ye Er would have been sold to repay debts. What kind of future can be anticipated?
The same goes for the little aunt. Everything is easily picked up and lightly put down. I don't know how people who have had similar experiences really think, but I can't help but feel that this is a form of prolonged torture for them.
Not forgiving becomes a sin that hinders family harmony. It's quite ironic, with a strong sense of moral coercion. However, as an outsider in the game, the female lead is above everyone else. Restarting the game is no big deal.
It's understandable that she forgives everything, as there's no need to be bothered by a bunch of data. So, in this drama, only the viewers who truly feel and empathize are the real victims. The ending might be historical, but the ensemble cast is well portrayed, capturing human nature effectively.
The actors' performances are good, but the ending is still nauseating.
Shen Nuo's setup is to investigate a case in the countryside and find a way to live with the Lian family. He attracts the attention of Lian Man Er and wins her heart. He is a strategist, sharp-tongued, and tsundere.
So his mission is to protect and fall in love with every Lian Man Er in the game. The female lead is aware of her clear and genuine feelings, knowing that the game will end, yet she wholeheartedly loves.
When the female lead returns to the real world, the game continues with Lian Man Er as the protagonist. But it's not regrettable, at least they loved each other in the game world.
