Episode 6 recap: Lian Man Er questioned Lian Ye Er.
Shen Nuo said he came from Shen's Village because he suffered a disaster and came to seek refuge with his aunt. Li Zheng confirmed that Shen Nuo indeed lived at the Lian family's residence. Li Zheng noticed Wang You Heng and mentioned that Wang You Heng also knew about it. Wang You Heng said he wasn't too sure either but being cautious was a good thing. If they were too cautious and randomly arrested someone, it wouldn't be good either.
The government officials found their reasoning valid and released Shen Nuo. Shen Nuo asked why Wang You Heng helped him, and Wang You Heng said that his eldest grandson didn't want to bring trouble to Lian Man Er and the others. He told Shen Nuo to finish his business and leave quickly.
Lian Man Er's uncle asked about the situation with Lian Man Er's grandfather. Lian Man Er's grandfather called everyone over and said that the eldest son now had no children to take care of him in his old age, so he wanted to adopt the child in Lian Man Er's mother's womb and pass it on to the eldest son. Lian Man Er called Wang You Heng, who managed to save her mother's life. Lian Man Er was relieved and grateful. Shen Nuo felt that something was amiss and went to investigate. He found a hemp rope here.
Wang You Heng also noticed something strange and came over, mentioning that he found marks on Lian Man Er's mother's belly that couldn't have been caused by a fall. Lian Man Er asked if Lian Ye Er knew about this incident and why he didn't say anything. Lian Ye Er said he couldn't speak.

Shen Nuo confirmed that it wasn't her because there was blood on the hemp rope, but Lian Ye Er's hands showed no signs of injury.
