Episode 13 recap: Some things are taking root and sprouting.

Yang Zhen Gang noticed something between Lin Lu Xiao and Nan Chu, so he intentionally asked Lin Lu Xiao about his impression of Nan Chu while they were sleeping, hoping to bring them together. Lin Lu Xiao unconsciously developed a liking for Nan Chu, but he didn't pay much attention to it. It was only when Yang Zhen Gang asked him that he mentioned the subtle changes he felt after meeting Nan Chu, still unaware of his true feelings for her.

Xi Gu also sensed the budding affection between Nan Chu and Lin Lu Xiao. She asked Nan Chu about her impression of Lin Lu Xiao, and Nan Chu simply felt a sense of security with him. Upon hearing Nan Chu's response, Xi Gu believed that Nan Chu had developed feelings for Lin Lu Xiao, which made Nan Chu start to contemplate her own emotions.

Yang Zhen Gang told Lin Lu Xiao that he had developed feelings for Nan Chu and thought she was great. He encouraged Lin Lu Xiao to seize the opportunity to pursue Nan Chu. Lin Lu Xiao evaded his own question and urged Yang Zhen Gang to address his own issues. He pressed Yang Zhen Gang to reveal if he had someone he liked.

Initially wanting to keep it a secret, Yang Zhen Gang finally confessed about his crush on the command center operator after Lin Lu Xiao pressed him. He didn't know who the person was that they interacted with every time, but he was already captivated by that voice. That night, Nan Chu and Lin Lu Xiao both reflected on their relationship, and a subtle affection began to sprout in their hearts.

The conflicts among Xu Zhi Yi and several other artists made Han Dong and Jiang Ge feel that the show couldn't continue as it was. Therefore, Han Dong decided to bring in a heavyweight figure to join the program. Han Dong had some connections with Ran Dong Yang, so after Jiang Ge agreed, he went to meet with Ran Dong Yang to discuss joining "Blazing Youth."

When Han Dong brought up the topic, Ran Dong Yang understood that Han Dong wanted to promote the newcomer Nan Chu. However, he didn't want to refuse Han Dong and readily agreed to join the show. Upon learning that Ran Dong Yang was joining, Xu Zhi Yi deliberately used her connections to arrange a meeting with Ran Dong Yang to let him know that "Blazing Youth" was meant to promote Nan Chu as a rising star. She advised Ran Dong Yang not to become a supporting role in this context.

Ran Dong Yang's knowledge of Nan Chu being promoted surprised Xu Zhi Yi. She thought she had no chance, but to her surprise, Ran Dong Yang started giving her guidance. Ran Dong Yang explained that the key to his success in the entertainment industry over the years was his ability to bring every role to life and make himself the protagonist.

Xu Zhi Yi couldn't fully understand Ran Dong Yang's words, so he took her to a dinner party that night to provide more guidance. The next day, Ran Dong Yang went to the production team and, in an exaggerated manner, introduced himself to everyone and made several new demands.

Ran Dong Yang convinced everyone to add a live broadcast segment, while Nan Chu spoke in support of the firefighters and strongly opposed the live broadcast. Lin Lu Xiao overheard the argument between Ran Dong Yang and the others and expressed his opinion that the matter of live broadcasting needed to be reported. Therefore, it was not possible to have a live broadcast today, and everyone continued with their training.

At the beginning of the training, Ran Dong Yang proposed that both men and women should train together and requested the training to be done in groups. Xu Zhi Yi echoed Ran Dong Yang's suggestion, and she, Yan Dai, and Ran Dong Yang were grouped together, while Jiang Ge was assigned to the group with Nan Chu.

During the group training, Ran Dong Yang continued to act theatrically, which annoyed Jiang Ge. As a result, Jiang Ge ordered the removal of all the footage involving Ran Dong Yang. While Ran Dong Yang's group took a break, Nan Chu's group trained diligently. Meanwhile, Ran Dong Yang and the others discussed setting up a situation to make Nan Chu into an annoying character on the show.

Although Yan Dai was somewhat unhappy with Nan Chu stealing the spotlight and didn't want to do anything despicable, she found some agreement in Ran Dong Yang and Xu Zhi Yi's words, so she didn't oppose it. During the next training session, Ran Dong Yang proposed a training method involving elimination at the end, which caused a conflict with the firefighters. In the end, it was Lin Lu Xiao who intervened and vetoed the idea, resolving the issue.

In the evening, an unhappy Ran Dong Yang sought out Nan Chu, who was studying, to discuss the training. He wanted to lecture Nan Chu. Nan Chu took the side of the firefighters in the conversation, which displeased Ran Dong Yang, and they directly confronted each other. Ran Dong Yang claimed to be a big shot who was there to support Nan Chu, but she didn't appreciate it and had issues with him.

Ran Dong Yang seemed ready to confront Nan Chu physically, but Lin Lu Xiao appeared and spoke up for Nan Chu, forcing Ran Dong Yang to retreat. The next day during training, Lin Lu Xiao led the entire team to investigate the firefighting situation in their jurisdiction. Lei Da Gang had been mentioning his childhood friend Chen Yi Long's food factory, which happened to be within their area, so they decided to inspect it first.

While Lin Lu Xiao assigned people to inspect Chen Yi Long's food factory, Ran Dong Yang and Xu Zhi Yi pulled Yan Dai aside and wanted to privately expose issues within Chen Yi Long's factory. Yan Dai didn't want to engage in such actions and preferred to follow Lin Lu Xiao's instructions and conduct the inspection properly. However, Ran Dong Yang and Xu Zhi Yi kept persuading her and forcing her to take action with them.
