Episode 11 recap: Gu Qingqiao was falsely accused and thrown into prison.
Gu Qingqiao used a rock to rub open the ropes binding her, and also helped Shao Yi untie his ropes. The two of them planned to escape. The Mandala cult members asked Gu Qingqiao how she was in contact with the Right Defender, and she said they weren't in contact. They also asked if she knew where the Right Defender had hidden the sacred artifacts, and she said she didn't know, but if they let her and Shao Yi go, she could help them look for the artifacts. The Mandala cult members refused.
Gu Qingqiao saw there were a total of six guards watching them, and guessed there might be another exit. The two of them planned to make a daring attempt to escape through the exit that only had one guard. Gu Qingqiao deliberately lured one guard over and knocked him out with a chop to the neck, and used the same method to knock out another. But Shao Yi accidentally got his leg injured again in the process. The two of them rushed out, but Gu Qingqiao had to carry the injured Shao Yi as they ran, with pursuers chasing after them.
Mr. Qi returned injured and told Duan Yan that the Sacred Blood Gate had returned and their strength was even greater than before. Duan Yan knew the Inverted Heaven Star had manifested. He asked Xing Si whose people Gu Qingqiao was, and Xing Si said she was one of Duan Yu's people. Duan Yan knew Duan Yu wanted to marry the county magistrate's daughter, and Yang Chunfeng had also said Gu Qingqiao was involved with the Mandala cult in kidnapping Shao Yi. Duan Yan suspected Gu Qingqiao was connected to the Sacred Blood Gate, and ordered the Black Robe Guards to surround the Gu mansion.
After Gu Qingqiao hid Shao Yi, she was captured by the Mandala cult again. Just as Shao Yi was about to be captured, Duan Yu, Xing Si, and the Black Robe Guards arrived. Shao Yi was gravely injured and unconscious, and they hurried to rescue Gu Qingqiao.
The Right Defender of the Mandala cult had captured Yang Chunfeng and learned that Gu Qingqiao had been captured by the cult. He rushed into the cave where Gu Qingqiao was being held, killed the cult members, and rescued Gu Qingqiao. He told Gu Qingqiao to return the Nine Cycle Purity Bell to him, because possessing it would make her very dangerous. Gu Qingqiao said she had given it to Duan Yu. Lu Zizheng was angry and wanted to take her away, but she refused, wanting to go find Duan Yu. Lu Zizheng warned her that her obsession would eventually be her downfall.
Lu Zizheng went to Duan Yu to demand the Nine Cycle Purity Bell, and Duan Yu wanted him to hand over Gu Qingqiao. They engaged in battle, and Lu Zizheng created an illusion so Duan Yu couldn't see his exact location. Closing his eyes and focusing, Lu Zizheng fired an arrow, but to his shock, it was aimed at Gu Qingqiao. He quickly revealed himself to save her. As they fought again, Lu Zizheng was outmatched, and reluctantly prepared to take Gu Qingqiao and leave. But then Duan Yan appeared, intending to kill Gu Qingqiao. With no other choice, Lu Zizheng had to abandon Gu Qingqiao and escape alone.
Gu Qingqiao was happy to see Duan Yu, but little did she know that Duan Yu had a knife to his own neck, claiming she was the Nemesis Star who conspired to destroy the Duan family. Gu Qingqiao was surprised, thinking he had gone mad, and asked if something had happened when he left that made him act this way. Duan Yu said all the previous events were his schemes, just to test whether she was the Nemesis Star. Gu Qingqiao was heartbroken to discover that Duan Yu truly intended to harm her. Magistrate Du brought people to arrest Gu Qingqiao, accusing her of colluding with the Mantra Sect to kidnap Shao Yi.
It turns out Duan Yu deliberately let Magistrate Du take Gu Qingqiao away, as he was afraid Duan Yan would hurt her. Xing Si said Duan Yu probably did this knowing Gu Qingqiao would be heartbroken by his actions, but Duan Yu said that if she gave up on him, it would make his efforts to save her even more resolute. He believed Gu Qingqiao was innocent and shouldn't be implicated because of him.
Ruo Yun heard that Gu Qingqiao had been arrested by her own father, or perhaps it was Duan Yu who captured her, and she felt there must be a misunderstanding somewhere.
