Episode 2 recap: Preparing to host a food festival, Gu Qingqiao encounters Duan Yu.
It turns out that Lu Zicheng is Chun Jiao's childhood sweetheart in modern times. The two grew up together since they were little. Gu Xingmu then invited Duan Yu to have a meal at home, asking the family to keep the more attractive maids away, as he wanted to match Duan Yu with Gu Qingqiao.
Gu Qingqiao personally cooked a delicious braised pork dish that made Duan Yu want to go to the kitchen to see how it was made. In the kitchen, Duan Yu encountered Gu Qingqiao, who mistook him for the Duan Yu she had a secret modern-day crush on. In the modern era, Chunjiao wanted to confess to Duan Yu, but he told her he might not return after going abroad to study.
Gu Qingqiao thought she was not good-looking and hurriedly turned around to avoid Duan Yu. After explaining the earlier events, Duan Yu told her that they had never met before.
