Episode 30 recap: The Governor is a Disciple of the Sacred Blood Sect
In this episode, Gu Xingmi shows no blame towards Gu Qingqiao's deception, instead feeling sorry for her precarious situation. Ruoyun, frustrated by being confined to the Governor's mansion, secretly changes into a maid's clothes and sneaks out. The sect leader, injured, has the Governor arrange for condemned prisoners to be fed to him to replenish his powers. The Governor is also ordered to lure Duan Yan to the mansion in order to steal the hidden treasure map.

To help Ruoyun escape, Shaoyi delays the outsiders, allowing Ruoyun to flee. However, the Governor seizes the opportunity to interrogate Duan Yan about the treasure map's location. When Ruoyun suddenly bursts in, she firmly demands Duan Yan to leave, not wanting to see the Duan family, and the Governor has no choice but to imprison her again.
The Governor informs the sect leader that the treasure map is in Duan Yan's possession, and the only thing needed is to eliminate Duan Yan. The sect leader emphasizes that they must collect the four spirit stones to open the portal before Gu Qingqiao dies, or all their efforts will be in vain. Due to Ruoyun's escape, the Governor severely punishes the maid Yuanhua, who then reveals that the Governor was once a disciple of the Sacred Blood Sect but was expelled for marrying outside the sect.
