Gu Qingqiao wanted to understand Duan Yu better.Xing Si suddenly collapsed due to poisoning, and his condition was the same as Asu's poisoning incident years ago. Meanwhile, the Black Robe Guard arrested the cook, Yuan Da, claiming he was a fugitive they had been searching for years - the one Xing Si had seen poisoning Asu. Duan Yu said Xing Si was already awake but had become foolish. Gu Qingqiao said that was great, but Duan Yu still wanted to interrogate Yuan Da. Gu Qingqiao finally told Duan Yu that Yuan Da had escaped, and she believed Yuan Da was not the one who poisoned people.
It turned out Xing Si had accidentally poisoned himself by eating the mushrooms, and he had recovered. Shao Yi told Ruoyun that Xing Si was the one who wrote the novels.
