Episode 23 recap: Wang Xin handles things on the train with ease.
During the Spring Festival travel rush, the passenger flow on the train increased, and people were everywhere. The train attendants couldn't even walk through the carriages. After much effort, Lu Hong Xing and Cai Xiao Nian finally managed to close the train doors and depart smoothly. The train was packed with people, and even the space under the seats was occupied by passengers lying down to sleep. The passengers without seats, who had been engaged in business transactions in other places, carried a lot of money with them and were afraid of theft, so they dared not close their eyes and sleep.
These vigilant passengers stood and kept nodding off, accidentally bumping into others. When they noticed that people around them were watching, they felt helpless and could only pretend to be crazy. The pretending-crazy passenger claimed that someone wanted to kill him and jumped up on the train. Wang Xin intervened to understand the situation and he was falsely accused by the pretending-crazy passenger of wanting to kill him. As a result, Wang Xin took him away.
Wang Xin understood the intentions of the pretending-crazy passenger, who was afraid of thieves targeting his money and couldn't sleep. Therefore, Wang Xin took him to the sleeping berths area to let him rest. When Cai Xiao Nian came to check the tickets, Wang Xin spoke on behalf of the pretending-crazy passenger and temporarily resolved his problem. After resolving one small issue, another passenger caused a commotion on the train. Due to the overcrowding, those without seats couldn't resist falling asleep, resulting in many misunderstandings.
A young man accidentally leaned on a girl's shoulder while sleeping. When the girl woke up, she thought the young man was trying to take advantage of her, so she started arguing with him. In the midst of the argument between the young man and the girl, an old man who couldn't hold his urine any longer directly used a plastic bag as a solution, intending to throw it away in the restroom. A passenger who wanted to use the restroom kept loudly shouting and pounding on the door, so the old man lent his bag to the passenger in need.
The embarrassed passenger resolved his issue on the spot and knocked on the door a few more times. Finally, the person in the restroom opened the door, but what they saw made them particularly angry. The people hiding inside the restroom, due to the lack of space outside, started eating and drinking inside the restroom. They also cursed and complained upon opening the door. The person who had been holding their urine became angry and directly poured the old man's urine bag onto that person, leading to a physical altercation between the two.
Wang Xin took all the troublemakers to the dining car to resolve the issues. He urged everyone to speak openly, criticize each other's mistakes, and encouraged them to apologize to one another to resolve the problems.
After Wang Xin resolved the issue with the urine incident, the girl who felt taken advantage of approached Wang Xin and his team to address the problem. At this moment, the old man came forward as a witness, testifying that the young man had been asleep. This convinced the girl to stop bothering the young man and return to her original carriage.
Ma Kui noticed how skillfully Wang Xin handled the situation and couldn't help but praise him. Ma Kui felt that Wang Xin was well-suited for the job, which made Wang Xin very happy. Meanwhile, Peng Yong Li was at Ma Kui's house, being considerate and massaging Ma Kui while asking for a favor. She wanted Ma Kui to help her classmate secure a sleeping berth ticket. Without hesitation, Ma Kui agreed.
Soon after, Peng Yong Li requested to return to school for two days to focus on exam preparation. Ma Kui gave her some food coupons and Ma Yan became jealous when she found out. Wu Zhang Gui had been experiencing discomfort in his eyes recently. He attributed it to lack of sleep and didn't pay much attention to it until it started affecting his work.
After finishing work, Wu Zhang Gui went to the hospital for an examination and received some eye drops. He wanted to continue working, so he stayed at home, waiting for his eyes to get better. Cai Xiao Nian's wife, Yan Hong, was heavily pregnant, and the whole Cai family was excited as the delivery approached.
While watching TV with everyone in the courtyard, Niu Da Li noticed that Wu Zhang Gui was absent. He went to knock on Wu's door and was surprised when Wu's wife said he was sleeping. For several consecutive days, Wu Zhang Gui tried to use eye drops on his own, but his vision didn't improve at all. He eventually confessed to his wife that he hadn't gone to the hospital for an eye check-up and had sought alternative treatment from someone he trusted. He didn't want to make a fuss and risk affecting his work.
Ma Yan bought fish for an extra meal at home and complained to Ma Kui that she didn't wait for Peng Yong Li to come back. Unexpectedly, Peng Yong Li returned right after that, and Ma Yan asked her about the sleeping berth ticket that had been arranged for her. Peng Yong Li explained to Ma Kui that when her classmate boarded the train, the shift had changed, and Wang Yong Ge had taken over as the supervisor. The note Ma Kui had given her didn't work, and they could only arrange for her to sit in the dining car instead of a sleeping berth.
Upon learning that Wang Yong Ge didn't give him face, Ma Kui could only explain to Peng Yong Li that the berth space was limited and asked her not to take it to heart. Despite concealing his illness, Wu Zhang Gui persisted in going to work. One day, while driving the train, he didn't see a person on the tracks, but luckily Cai Da Nian noticed in time and pulled the emergency brake to stop the train.
