Episode 25 recap: Dong Gang confessed to the fact that he committed the murder.
Late at night, Dong Gang came out of the store carrying a bag and sneaked away. Ma Kui and Wang Xin saw him and immediately followed him. Dong Gang wandered through the streets and alleys, finally ending up at a small house. After spending some time inside, he came out again. Ma Kui and Wang Xin went to the police station to gather information and learned that the locked-up person was Dong Gang's brother, who suffered from severe mental illness. They had no leads to find Dong Gang. Wang Xin believed that Dong Gang's brother could be a lead, so he arranged for police forces to be stationed at the hospital while he himself went to investigate Dong Gang's brother's condition.
Wang Xin had a conversation with Dong Gang's brother and noticed that he wanted to eat fish. So he took him to a restaurant to have some fish. Just as Dong Gang's brother was about to eat, a police officer in uniform walked in, causing him to scream, "I didn't kill anyone!" This made Wang Xin think that perhaps he witnessed Dong Gang committing the murder and was traumatized, leading to his mental illness.
Wang Xin became convinced of Dong Gang's suspicion of murder. At this time, someone discovered new body parts, and there was a character "义" (justice) similar to Ding Gui'an's on the body parts, making the case even more complicated. While Ma Kui and Wang Xin were analyzing the body parts, they learned that Dong Gang had been captured. They went to interrogate Dong Gang.

Jia Jin Long came to Wang Xin's house with a generous gift, but to his surprise, Wang Xin wasn't home. He lingered in the courtyard, hoping to run into Yao Yu Ling, but she didn't appear.
