Episode 26 recap: Niu Da Li proposed to Yao Yu Ling using a cassette recorder.
Wang Xin only mentioned that Ma Yan went to attend a classmate's wedding and pretended not to know about Ma Kui's suspicions. Unexpectedly, Ma Kui didn't believe him and chased after Wang Xin, demanding a fight. Fortunately, Ma Yan returned at that moment. Ma Kui didn't say much because Ma Yan had returned. He dropped the suitcase and left.
Ma Yan put her luggage back at home and went directly to Wang Xin's place to tell him about her trip to the button factory with Xiao Wen Zhou. This made Ma Kui even more unhappy.
Yao Yu Ling met Jia Jin Long and went to Harbin. She changed her appearance from top to bottom and bought many rare things, showing off in the courtyard. When Niu Da Li saw Yao Yu Ling return with a new look, he worriedly knocked on her door. Yao Yu Ling gave Niu Da Li a large loaf of bread, claiming that it was specially for him. Niu Da Li was overjoyed and stopped asking further questions.
Ma Kui was about to question Wang Xin and persuade Ma Yan about the business, but unexpectedly, he encountered Xiao Wen Zhou on the train. So he decided to interrogate Xiao Wen Zhou. Ma Kui pretended not to know the situation and had a chat with Xiao Wen Zhou. He scolded Xiao Wen Zhou only when Xiao Wen Zhou was showing off.
After being scolded, Xiao Wen Zhou learned that Ma Yan was Ma Kui's daughter. Ma Kui then interrogated Xiao Wen Zhou about how much money Ma Yan spent and how much merchandise she bought. Xiao Wen Zhou claimed not to know, so Ma Kui blocked the bathroom door and started whistling to force Xiao Wen Zhou to compromise.
Ma Yan learned about what Ma Kui did to Xiao Wen Zhou, and she got into a heated argument with Ma Kui. She expressed her anger and stated that even without Xiao Wen Zhou, she would find someone else to learn how to be angry. Then she packed her things and left home. Angry, Ma Yan went to Shen Xiu Ping's house to vent about Ma Kui's actions and expressed that they wanted to make money and do business because Ma Kui looked down on Wang Xin.
After listening to Ma Yan's complaints, Shen Xiu Ping scolded Ma Kui and tried to persuade him to support Ma Yan's business and not prevent her from being with Wang Xin. However, Ma Kui still refused to let Ma Yan be with Wang Xin, which angered Shen Xiu Ping. She then went home, packed her things, and offered to let Ma Yan stay at her place.
Ma Yan disagreed with staying at Shen Xiu Ping's house. She wanted to move out and focus on her business. Regardless of profit or loss, she was determined to continue. Ma Kui had to go to work and didn't have time to take care of Ma Jian, so he had to ask Ma Yan to come home and look after Ma Jian. Ma Yan used the opportunity of taking care of the child to pressure Ma Kui into agreeing to her business, but Ma Kui still refused.
Yao Yu Ling wrote a letter to Jia Jin Long but couldn't receive a reply, which made her extremely anxious. Ma Kui didn't have time to take care of Ma Jian, so he had to leave Ma Jian at Shen Xiu Ping's house, which made him feel guilty.

Taking advantage of Yao Yu Ling's moved emotions, Niu Da Li asked her to marry him and suggested going to take photos for their wedding clothes the next day. Due to the lack of news from Jia Jin Long, Yao Yu Ling was touched and agreed to Niu Da Li's proposal. However, unexpectedly, the next day when they were about to leave, Jia Jin Long suddenly appeared.
Upon seeing Jia Jin Long, Yao Yu Ling changed her mind and falsely claimed to have a stomachache, asking Niu Da Li to take her back home. Yao Yu Ling pretended to have a stomachache and stayed at home for a day. The next day, she went to meet Jia Jin Long and questioned his intentions.
