Episode 35 recap: Ma Kui let go of the past and agreed to be with Ma Yan and Wang Xin.
Wang Yong Ge was locked up in the police station, sometimes confused and sometimes clear-minded. He kept insisting on seeing Ma Kui, so Hu Dui Zhang had no choice but to discuss it with Ma Kui. Persuaded by Hu Dui Zhang, Ma Kui decided to meet Wang Yong Ge and see what he wanted to do.Wang Yong Ge was surprised to see Ma Kui. Wang Xin saw that Ma Yan was working hard every day and was worried about her getting frostbite, so he left some antifreeze cream for Ma Yan. However, Ma Yan quietly returned it to him. Ma Kui, witnessing Wang Xin's efforts, couldn't help but be moved. He remembered the words Wang Su Fang said before her death, urging him to forgive Wang Yong Ge. He wanted to do so, but the emotional hurdle in his heart wasn't easy to overcome. Wang Xin had already made up his mind not to marry again in this lifetime because the Wang family owed the Ma family too much, and he had chosen Ma Yan alone, so he could only endure the pain himself.

Cai's wife glanced and noticed a pair of men's shoes, thinking that Shen Xiu Ping might be hiding someone in the house, which is why she was keeping it a secret. Shen Xiu Ping blamed Ma Jian and others for their lack of manners, barging into someone else's house. While retrieving the ball, Ma Jian noticed a person lying on Shen Xiu Ping's bed and immediately went home to inform Ma Kui. After hearing Ma Jian's report, Ma Kui thought about what Shen Xiu Ping had told him and wondered if the person Shen Xiu Ping was hiding was her father, who had been convicted of hooliganism.
The police station sent officers to the courtyard to find Shen Xiu Ping. The people in the courtyard then learned that Shen Xiu Ping had been housing a released convict, sparking discussions about Shen Xiu Ping.
