Episode 36 recap: Wang Xin and Ma Yan's wedding.

People in the courtyard were discussing Shen Xiu Ping. It was only then that Shen Xiu Ping told Ma Kui about her father's situation, afraid that it would affect Ma Kui. Shen's father was a released prisoner, and after his release, he was diagnosed with lung cancer. Shen Xiu Ping couldn't abandon him, so she had to bring him to live in the courtyard.

Ma Kui knew about Shen Xiu Ping's situation and wanted to help take care of Shen's father and announce their relationship to everyone. However, Shen Xiu Ping refused. She felt that her family background would affect Ma Kui's future and was afraid of being criticized by everyone in the courtyard. Therefore, she firmly disagreed with Ma Kui's involvement and didn't want to burden him.

Ma Kui was a responsible person and couldn't let Shen Xiu Ping bear everything alone. He gathered all the people in the courtyard and publicly announced his and Shen Xiu Ping's relationship. He mentioned that his family had already agreed, so he planned to marry Shen Xiu Ping after Ma Yan's wedding.

Upon hearing Ma Kui publicly announce their relationship, Shen Xiu Ping immediately tried to stop him, claiming that he had drunk too much and asked everyone not to believe what he said. Ma Kui insisted that he meant what he said, and as long as he was alive, no one could stop him from being with Shen Xiu Ping. However, Shen Xiu Ping was still worried and feared that things were not as simple as Ma Kui thought.

After Ma Kui's public announcement, Shen Xiu Ping busied herself preparing things for Ma Yan and Wang Xin's wedding. She personally made a quilt and sent it to Ma Kui. Ma Kui mistakenly thought that Shen Xiu Ping had prepared it for them and happily discussed other things they needed, which embarrassed Shen Xiu Ping.

While joking with Shen Xiu Ping, Ma Kui was interrupted when Ma Jian returned and found the words "little hooligan" written on his back. Ma Kui hurriedly took off Ma Jian's clothes, but Shen Xiu Ping still couldn't get past those few words in her heart.

Shen Xiu Ping was afraid that Shen's father's past would lead to criticism of Ma Kui's family, Ma Yan, and Ma Jian. After careful consideration, she decided to leave. Shen Xiu Ping left a letter for Ma Kui, explaining that she didn't want to burden him and couldn't abandon Shen's father, so she decided to leave with him.

After Shen Xiu Ping left, Ma Yan was about to marry Wang Xin. Ma Kui had many emotions and wanted to say many things to Ma Yan. He discussed the wedding arrangements with Ma Yan and couldn't help but mention Wang Su Fang, which made both of them sad.

On the joyous day of the wedding, everyone in the courtyard crowded into Ma Kui's house, waiting to participate in Ma Yan and Wang Xin's wedding ceremony. Wang Xin arrived to pick up the bride, and Ma Jian and Ma Kui personally guarded the room, subjecting Wang Xin to rounds of tests before allowing her to enter.

Wang Xin first gave a big red envelope and had to confess the details of their first kiss, promising to do housework and let Ma Yan handle the finances after marriage, before successfully passing the test. Wang Xin happily brought Ma Yan home and they both knelt down to serve tea and called their respective parents "dad." When Ma Kui heard Wang Xin call him "dad," he was deeply moved and gave Wang Xin a generous red envelope.

The pace of progress is getting faster, and the wheels of the train are also spinning faster. Steam locomotives are gradually fading from the stage of history, replaced by internal combustion locomotives and electric locomotives. Cai Da Nian and Wu Zhang Gui are still the same, operating new trains traveling north and south. Ma Kui is about to go on a business trip to investigate a drug trafficker's case, and Wang Xin is still his assistant. However, he is now extremely busy, returning from a business trip without even having a chance to see Wang Yong Ge before having to go on another trip with Ma Kui.

Ma Kui and Wang Xin acted separately, giving Wang Xin a chance to go back and see Wang Yong Ge before going to Shenzhen together. After arriving in Shenzhen, Wang Xin contacted Niu Da Li, who specially sent a car to pick them up. Niu Da Li has also changed a lot and now drives a small car.

Ma Kui and Wang Xin, along with their team, entered the mahjong hall to find the drug traffickers they discovered. After a fierce fight, they managed to capture one person. Unfortunately, it was a single contact, so they couldn't identify more drug traffickers. After completing the task of capturing the suspects, Niu Da Li invited Ma Kui and Wang Xin to a restaurant to show his gratitude.

Niu Da Li told Ma Kui and Wang Xin that he has made some progress now, and handed them his business card, telling them to contact him if they need anything. After Ma Kui returned, Ma Yan once again discussed with him about quitting her job and opening a shop so that she wouldn't have to work at the state-owned store.

Ma Kui didn't agree and insisted that Ma Yan continue working, but Ma Yan was unhappy and wanted to open a shop to earn money. Yao Yu Ling was on the train making a phone call when Wang Xin recognized her voice and went over to greet her and chat about their respective situations.

Seeing that Yao Yu Ling was doing well, Wang Xin returned to the restaurant car to talk to Ma Kui about business matters and tried to persuade Ma Kui to support Ma Yan, but Ma Kui didn't give him a chance to speak. Lao Xia Zi smelled Liu Gui Ying's scent and specifically informed Wang Xin and Ma Kui to catch the person, but they searched through the entire train carriages and even checked the passengers getting off, but they couldn't find anyone.

Ma Kui went back to explain the situation to Lao Xia Zi, but Lao Xia Zi didn't believe them and kept scolding them, saying they were useless and couldn't even catch a single person. Lao Xia Zi firmly believed that he had smelled Liu Gui Ying's scent and waited for Lao Xia Zi to calm down before listening to his account of the situation at that time.
