Episode 20 recap: # Xiao Ruo Tong Successfully Rescues Her Brother
In Episode 20, Quan Shui, the newly appointed district chief of Suzhou, enters the military intelligence station with an air of authority that makes the agents drop their tasks and greet her respectfully. Calmly, she pulls out a note from her pocket—it's a direct order from Xu En Zeng: "Do everything possible to rescue Jiang Bo Xian and severely punish Zhou Zhi Fei."
Meanwhile, in the prison, Jiang Bo Xian looks disdainfully at the eggs brought to him, refusing to eat. Xiao Jun Xia quickly takes the eggs, knowing they contain a secret. He opens one discreetly, reads the note inside, and chews it to ensure there's no trace left. Following Gu Yi Zhong's plan, he knocks on the wall to send a signal.
On the other side, Xiao Ruo Tong listens intently with a stethoscope, picking up the sounds from the wall. The noise becomes clearer, and she smiles, realizing Xiao Jun Xia has found his location, giving the rescue operation direction.
Zhou Zhi Fei, on the other hand, watches Gu Yi Zhong through binoculars, suspicious of his intentions. He calls Gu Yi Zhong over to directly confront him about his guess, claiming he’s ready to witness the "show." He then calls the prison to have Jiang Bo Xian and Xiao Jun Xia brought out.

Once safe, Xiao Jun Xia reveals a big secret to Xiao Ruo Tong: Gu Yi Zhong is not the "Cell No. 8" they were looking for.
Xiao Ruo Tong grew anxious upon hearing this and pressed Xiao Jun Xia for the identity of "Cell No. 8." The person who gave him the photo was the actual "Cell No. 8."
Meanwhile, Hu Zhi Ping was frantic upon learning that Xiao Jun Xia had escaped. He stormed off to confront Zhou Zhi Fei, insisting that he shouldn’t have let Xiao Jun Xia live. He feared that if Xiao Jun Xia met "Eagle," the truth would be exposed. With no other option, Hu Zhi Ping reluctantly agreed for the time being.
At home, Gu Yi Zhong was painting when Zhou Zhi Fei arrived uninvited, seeking a way out. Gu Yi Zhong was firm in his stance, stating that he wanted to uncover "Cell No. 8." Sensing Gu Yi Zhong's determination, Zhou Zhi Fei warned him that even if he discovered the truth, he would still be tied to "No. 90." He also revealed that he had intentionally let Xiao Ruo Tong and Fu Gui save Xiao Jun Xia.
At this moment, Ji Hong Bo from Chongqing arrived with orders from Xu En Zeng. Xu En Zeng was dissatisfied with Zhou Zhi Fei and wanted him eliminated, expressing disappointment in Quan Shui's performance in Suzhou.
