Episode 29 recap: # Xiao Ruo Tong Successfully Approaches Luo Wu Qiang
In Episode 29, after Xiao Ye leaves, Hai Mo chases after Gu Yi Zhong to ask about Xiao Lin’s background. Gu Yi Zhong doesn’t hold back and shares everything with her, including her upcoming tasks. Hai Mo is confused about why Gu Yi Zhong rejected Xiao Ye, and he explains that he suspects there might be something shady behind Xiao Ye’s invitation, so they need to be cautious and not treat it as a straightforward opportunity.
Gu Yi Zhong is tightly holding onto a book given to him by Lao Huang. He mentions that if anything happens to Lao Huang, he must take this book to Canglang Pavilion at the beginning of each month to find another person with the same book, who will be the new contact. Gu Yi Zhong follows through, but when he arrives at Canglang Pavilion, it’s completely empty—there’s not a single person in sight, as if the contact has vanished.

Knowing Zhou Zhi Fei was cunning, Hai Mo hesitated and didn’t want to get involved. Gu Yi Zhong insisted, prompting Hai Mo to jokingly remark that he had been undercover for two years without being discovered, showcasing his acting skills.
Hearing this, Gu Yi Zhong immediately pulled Hai Mo into an embrace, causing her face to turn bright red as she quickly ran away.
