Episode 25 recap: Cheri Takes a Break to Spend Time with Aiwen

In episode 25, Cheri feels a lack of purpose at work and is constantly at odds with Quan. Their relationship is in crisis, and Cheri is about to have a breakdown. She wants to take a break to recharge, and her boss Nonfei agrees to give her time off starting the next day. Cheri leaves work early and heads home, where Quan has prepared a meal for her. Cheri explains to Quan about having to entertain clients at a hotel, and Quan understands her difficulty. Quan plans to go help out at Xiao Dong's company, and Cheri supports his decision, hoping to use her time off to spend more quality time with Aiwen.

Nonfei has been hiding her cohabitation with Yuanyi from her parents. Her mother occasionally visits Nonfei's place and accidentally discovers a man's shaving razor. Nonfei makes up excuses, but her mother doesn't believe her. She later finds a man's body wash in Nonfei's bathroom and suspects Nonfei is living with a boyfriend, though she doesn't confront Nonfei directly.

Nonfei calls Yuanyi to tell him about her parents' interrogation. Yuanyi is upset that Nonfei hasn't acknowledged their relationship. After work, Nonfei and Yuanyi go grocery shopping together, holding hands on the way home. They run into a nosy neighbor in the stairwell, and Nonfei quickly denies they are a couple, much to Yuanyi's chagrin.

Cheri's mother wants to buy a small house in Hainan, thinking Cheri is upset about something she said at Cheri's birthday party. But Cheri's mother realizes she has been overly involved in Cheri and Quan's life, and wants to give them more space. Cheri agrees to help her mother buy the house.

Shou Lan notices more gray hair when looking in the mirror and feels melancholy. She puts on earrings from her younger days and plans a solo trip, as her choir friends are all busy. Quan calls Shou Lan to check on her travel plans and cautions her.

Yuanyi wants to go camping with Nonfei, but Nonfei is worried about being recognized by his fans. Yuanyi wants to make their relationship public, but Nonfei thinks the timing isn't right, so Yuanyi has to give up the idea.

Cheri begins her vacation. She wakes up early to make breakfast, and the delighted Aiwen happily eats. Afterward, the three of them go out to play together, with Cheri and Quan fully engaged in the family activities.

Aiwen's preschool assigned a video project, and Cheri helps him film it. Aiwen compares Cheri to a superhero, making Cheri regretful that she hasn't spent enough time with him.

Shou Lan travels alone, documenting her experiences on her phone. Quan is home alone, passing the time by playing chess with old friends, as he can only cook instant noodles and order takeout.

Cheri and Quan go grocery shopping together, with Quan bringing a list and teaching Cheri household tips. He takes Cheri to a stay-at-home dad gathering, where Cheri learns Quan recently went to the hospital for stomach issues, which he hadn't told her about to avoid disturbing her work. Cheri asks the other dads for advice on balancing her marriage.
