Episode 15 recap: Huo Xing Chen tested whether Jiang Bu Ting was The Fork Hero
Huo Xingchen was enjoying the sight of those glowing butterflies when she suddenly heard the voice of Yin Fengmian. Yin Fengmian told her that he heard she obtained a Divine Power Pill, and if she gave him the pill, he would spare her; otherwise, she wouldn't see the sun tomorrow.
Huo Xingchen looked at Yin Fengmian in astonishment and asked him seriously if he had made up his mind. She considered him a friend, but now... Yin Fengmian interrupted Huo Xingchen's words and explicitly told her that he had no friends. He said that it was her own foolishness to fall into his hands, and with the pill, he could become the supreme martial arts master.
Jiang Buting, Jiang Buying, and the others caught up and found that the cave was trapped by Yin Fengmian's formation, which required three people to operate together to open. Under the influence of the formation, Yin Fengmian's power greatly increased, and Huo Xingchen quickly found herself at a disadvantage. Jianwa informed Mu Binghe that the sect leader was unconscious, and the major sects were eyeing Five Peaks Sect. As the day approached for Mu Binghe and Huo Xingchen's wedding, no one knew what trouble would arise. After thinking it over, Mu Binghe told Jianwa that the only plan now was to bring Huo Xingchen back to Five Peaks Sect and proceed with the wedding as scheduled to stabilize the situation. In order to bring Huo Xingchen back, he decided to personally intervene. He temporarily entrusted the management of Five Peaks Sect's affairs to Jianwa. Jianwa was worried that Huo Xingchen wouldn't want to come back, but Mu Binghe reassured him, saying that he would make Huo Xingchen willingly become his wife.
Several black-clad individuals attempted to kidnap Huo Xingchen, but Yin Fengmian discovered them and rendered them unconscious with a sedative. Later, he encountered two more groups of people and dealt with them in the same manner. After incapacitating those people, he muttered to himself, saying that Huo Xingchen belonged to him and nobody should dare to touch her. Huo Xingchen saw the unconscious black-clad individuals and the glowing butterflies emanating from them. She guessed that it was Yin Fengmian's doing and felt that her speculation was correct—that Yin Fengmian's heart was still kind.
When Jiang Buting was instructing Huo Xingchen in her training, it reminded her of the character "Fork Hero". So she asked Jiang Buting if he was indeed Fork Hero. Jiang Buting struck a pose, seemingly about to admit it, but when Huo Xingchen saw him like that, she turned and walked away. After returning to her room, she took out pen and paper and compared Jiang Buting to Fork Hero, and she found that they did bear some resemblance. To uncover the truth, she even hired a few people to test Jiang Buting. Jiang Buting seemed to have sensed her intentions, and when he saw that her hired individuals were hesitant to make a move, he snatched a wooden stick from one of them and forcefully struck himself on the head.
Jiang Buying intercepted a letter in the "Yao Guang Fei Ge" legend that mentioned Jiang Buting and Huo Xingchen's daily activities. He questioned Yao Guang about what was going on. At first, he thought she was being coerced, but then Yao Guang came up with an excuse, stating that she was documenting the events between Jiang Buting and Huo Xingchen for writing the "Jianghu Fengyun Lu" (Records of the Martial World). After hearing her explanation, Jiang Buying no longer doubted her. When Jiang Buying had a close encounter with Yao Guang, he noticed her smooth skin and found himself developing feelings for her, which left him very puzzled.
Jianwa led his men to send the captured foreign individuals to Song, the divine physician, for him to study the antidote. Song was somewhat dissatisfied because the number of foreign individuals brought to him was small, and it was insufficient to develop the antidote. Jianwa, however, told him that the number of foreign individuals was decreasing, which was a good thing. Song also showed Jianwa the newly developed pills he had created. After listening to Song's explanation, Jianwa felt somewhat strange, wondering why Song had developed a poison instead of an antidote.
Huo Xingchen spent quite a bit of money to hire those people, but they didn't find any useful information. When she saw Jiang Buting bandaging his head, she felt deeply regretful and took the initiative to apologize to him. Because she had the image of Fork Hero in her heart, Jiang Buting still felt uneasy. However, Huo Xingchen told him that he and Fork Hero had different meanings and asked him to think in this way: although her dream was about Fork Hero, it was Jiang Buting who accompanied her by her side.
