Episode 4 recap: Huo Xing Chen encounters Fork Hero
It turns out that when Huo Xing Chen was a child, she was once kidnapped by bad people, and it was Chaxia who came to her rescue, saving her from danger. Since then, Huo Xing Chen has decided to train in martial arts and walk the rivers and lakes with Chaxia to punish evil and promote goodness. Jiang Bu Ting thinks that Huo Xing Chen's aspirations are commendable but reminds her to remember to carry some money when traveling the rivers and lakes. He suggests that Huo Xing Chen should first return to the Wuyue Sect to get some money. Huo Xing Chen agrees with Jiang Bu Ting's advice and decides to go home the next day to retrieve the funds.
Jiang Bu Ying, with the medicine from the black-clad individuals, asks all the doctors in the city, but no one knows what kind of medicine it is. Only a physician from the Western Regions recognizes the scent of a flower called "Qiyeye Yizhihua" in the medicine. This flower has hallucinogenic properties. Jiang Bu Ting thinks of his master, Song the Divine Physician, who is known as the number one physician in the world. If he were present, he would surely know the origin of this medicine. However, not long ago, the master was kidnapped by two black-clad individuals, and his whereabouts remain unknown. Thinking of this, Jiang Bu Ting suddenly starts coughing uncontrollably. Jiang Bu Ying takes out two pills, which are life-prolonging pills left by Song the Divine Physician for Jiang Bu Ting. After taking one pill, Jiang Bu Ting is left with only one. On her way back to the Wuyue Sect, Huo Xing Chen discovers that Shen Yao Zhai is hiring people with good benefits, and Chaxia has also been there before. She decides to go to Shen Yao Zhai to work odd jobs. Jiang Bu Ying finds out that the Qiyeye Yizhihua is indeed located in Shen Yao Zhai and decides that both he and Jiang Bu Ting should go there. Before leaving, Jiang Bu Ting pretends to be sick and asks Jiang Bu Ying and Huo Xing Chen to go together, while he secretly investigates outside. The black-clad individuals receive orders, and their target this time is Huo Xing Chen.
As the deadline of three days approached and Huo Xing Chen couldn't be found, everyone was at a loss. Mu Bing He came up with an idea for Huo Qing Liu: if Huo Xing Chen didn't return the next day, they could have her sister, Yao Guang, pretend to be Huo Xing Chen to get through the situation. Everyone thought it was a good idea as it would not only solve the urgent problem but also reduce the danger for Huo Xing Chen outside. So, on the third day, Mu Bing He accompanied his sister to meet the sect leaders. However, everyone doubted whether the woman in front of them was truly Huo Xing Chen. To silence their doubts, Huo Qing Liu decided to hold a wedding for Mu Bing He and Huo Xing Chen three months later.
Meanwhile, Huo Xing Chen worked hard at the Divine Medicine Stronghold. In the middle of the night, her roommate sneaked out, and she followed to find out what was going on. To her surprise, she discovered that they were dragging a male corpse into the room. They referred to this type of male corpse as an "abnormal person." Suddenly, the abnormal person woke up and attacked several roommates, causing them to lose control and attack others.
Huo Xing Chen watched everything through the crack in the door, terrified. At that moment, a masked person appeared and covered her mouth, taking her to a safe place. Huo Xing Chen was delighted to find out that the masked person was none other than Fork Hero. Just as she was about to express her admiration to Fork Hero, he asked her to go to the Five Peaks Sect and inform them that something was wrong at the Divine Medicine Stronghold. However, he warned her not to let them rush over to avoid alerting the enemy. Huo Xing Chen obeyed the instructions and planned to return to the Five Peaks Sect to deliver the message.
Huo Qing Liu ordered someone to post an announcement in the martial arts newspaper, letting more people know that Huo Xing Chen had returned to the Five Peaks Sect and hoped that his daughter would come home soon after seeing the news. Jiang Bu Ting held the newspaper and read that Huo Xing Chen had returned to the Five Peaks Sect and was about to marry Mu Bing He. He felt extremely downcast.
The leader of the black-clad individuals, upon realizing that they had not captured Huo Xing Chen, decided to turn his subordinates into abnormal people and ordered others to capture Huo Xing Chen. Mu Bing He walked on the street with Yao Guang and their maid. Yao Guang and the maid went to a clothing store, while Mu Bing He stood outside waiting. The black-clad individuals mistook Yao Guang for Huo Xing Chen and targeted her. Huo Xing Chen disguised herself as a man and encountered Mu Bing He on the road. She tested him to see if he could recognize her, but to her surprise, Mu Bing He failed to recognize her. After waiting for a long time without seeing Yao Guang come out, Mu Bing He entered the clothing store to investigate and discovered that the maid had been knocked unconscious and Yao Guang had been abducted by the black-clad individuals.
