Episode 3 recap: Wen Lan gets drunk
Wen Lan declares that she is returning to inherit her mother's inheritance and tells those outsiders to pack up and leave. Wen Lan's father gets angry and picks up a cup to throw at Wen Lan, but Mu Bai, who arrived in time, stops him, stating that even though Zhuang Wenhua is Wen Lan's father, he is also Wen Lan's husband, and Wen Lan cannot be beaten and scolded at will.
Mu Bai takes Wen Lan outside, but Wen Lan says that there is no one around and tells Mu Bai to stop pretending. Wen Lan asks Mu Bai to quickly sign the divorce agreement for her. Mu Bai says he doesn't want a divorce anymore, and Wen Lan claims to have ten thousand ways to make Mu Bai sign it. Wen Lan goes out for a drink with Shi Chu, and she says she wants to enter the Beijing Hua Institute now. It is the effort left behind by her mother, and she must protect it and not let Zhuang Wenhua take it away.
Shi Chu takes Wen Lan out, and Mu Bai comes over and takes Wen Lan away, stating that as long as they are not divorced, he will be Wen Lan's husband. The next day, Wen Lan wakes up and asks if Mu Bai changed her clothes. Mu Bai says Wen Lan did it herself. It turns out that Wen Lan got drunk yesterday and insisted on wearing Mu Bai's clothes.
Mu Bai's assistant calls him and informs him that Shi Xun, the newly appointed CEO of Shi Tai Group, is about to announce a collaboration with Dr. Lan. Mu Bai hurries over. Mu Bai learns that Dr. Lan is at the Beijing Hua Institute and he needs to find him in advance.
