Episode 6 recap: Wen Lan returns home.
Mu Bai arrives and asks Lin Yan if everything is okay. Lin Yan assures him that Wen Lan didn't do it on purpose and asks Mu Bai not to blame her. Mu Bai tells Lin Yan to leave if she's fine, so Lin Yan has no choice but to leave. Wen Lan shows Mu Bai some news and asks him what's really going on with his family. Mu Bai says he has no knowledge of the matter but promises to investigate and give Wen Lan an explanation.
Wen Lan says that the other matter can be dealt with, but she urges Mu Bai to quickly sign the divorce papers and not to drag it out any longer, not even for a second. Wen Lan gives Mu Bai three days to sign the papers. Mu Bai asks who leaked the news to others, and Lin Yan's father says it was him. He points out that the company's stock has risen significantly, which is clearly beneficial for the company, and wonders why Mu Bai didn't disclose this matter. Mu Bai insists that no one should exploit Wen Lan's situation, or else they shouldn't expect him to be polite.
Wen Lan receives a call from Zhuang Wen Hua, expressing her willingness to return the house to him. Wen Lan returns home and overhears her stepmother and Zhuang Rou singing in harmony, claiming that they are the pitiful ones and praising their exceptional acting skills. Zhuang Wen Hua says they are willing to move out and asks Wen Lan what she wants. Wen Lan asserts that everything originally belonged to her, and with a stepmother comes a stepfather, and everything he has is because of her mother. Zhuang Wen Hua becomes extremely angry upon hearing this and wants to hit Wen Lan.
