Episode 22 recap: Sun Yun Yun and Mu Zhuo Hua had a confrontation.

The Empress Dowager mentioned that Sun Yun Yun was very skilled in music and wanted her to play a piece. She also mentioned Liu Yan's famous flute and suggested that the two of them play a duet. Sun Yun Yun wanted to bring the flute she had not given away to Liu Yan, but Liu Yan asked Zhi Jian to bring the flute given by Mu Zhuo Hua, stating that his favorite was that particular flute and nothing could replace it.

Sun Yun Yun recognized that flute. She had wanted to buy it earlier, but the shopkeeper said that Mu Zhuo Hua had already bought it. Sun Yun Yun realized that Liu Yan and Mu Zhuo Hua had a close relationship. The Empress Dowager mentioned Mu Zhuo Hua's excellent scholarship and asked him to compose a poem, which made Mu Zhuo Hua very embarrassed, but he had no choice but to reluctantly compose a poem.

Everyone was surprised as they didn't expect Mu Zhuo Hua, who ranked first in the imperial examination, to create such a strange poem. However, Liu Yan praised Mu Zhuo Hua and found it easy to understand. Mu Zhuo Hua accompanied Rou Jia Gong Zhu back, and she thought he needed to relax. However, Mu Zhuo Hua didn't think it was a big deal.

Sun Yun Yun expressed her feelings to Liu Yan but was rejected. Mu Zhuo Hua and Rou Jia Gong Zhu happened to witness this, and Rou Jia Gong Zhu mentioned that Sun Yun Yun had admired Liu Yan for seven years.

Mu Zhuo Hua learned that Sun Yun Yun had bought his collection of poems and felt that he shouldn't let others profit from it. He asked Guo Ju Li to inform the bookstore owner and decided to compile the collection himself in order to make some money. Sun Yun Yun studied Mu Zhuo Hua's poems for a while but couldn't figure out the hidden meaning. Just then, Sun Yun Qian returned, so Sun Yun Yun quickly sought advice from Sun Yun Qian. After looking at it, Sun Yun Qian realized it was an acrostic poem that spelled out "关我何事" (Why do I care?).

Liu Yan also learned about this and warned Mu Zhuo Hua to be careful not to be retaliated against by Sun Yun Yun. However, Mu Zhuo Hua believed that as a low-ranking official in the Ministry of Revenue, he had no intersection with Sun Yun Yun, the most noble woman in the capital.

Sun Yun Yun's mother was unhappy and stated that Sun Yun Yun had returned to become the Princess of Ding, not to be humiliated. She decided to go to the palace to meet the Empress Dowager herself.

Sun Yun Yun stated that she had been taught by renowned teachers since childhood and her knowledge would definitely not be inferior to Mu Zhuo Hua's. She wanted to confront Mu Zhuo Hua directly.

Sun Yun Yun arrived at the Ministry of Revenue for her observation period, and everyone knew she was from the Sun family, so they treated her with respect. Sun Yun Yun mentioned the Mingguang armor to Mu Zhuo Hua, stating that Liu Yan always wore it and asked if Mu Zhuo Hua had seen it.

Mu Zhuo Hua replied that he hadn't seen it but had seen Liu Yan without clothes, which infuriated Sun Yun Yun. Liu Yan overheard this as well, and Zhi Jian felt that Mu Zhuo Hua dared to say anything, and sooner or later, he would ruin the Prince's reputation.

Sun Yun Yun took a look at Mu Zhuo Hua's poems and expressed admiration for his talents. Mu Zhuo Hua suggested that if Sun Yun Yun was truly interested in learning, he could have a good conversation with her. Mu Zhuo Hua led Sun Yun Yun in a lengthy discussion until everyone else had left.

Mu Zhuo Hua mentioned that there was no one else around, so Sun Yun Yun didn't need to pretend anymore. Guo Ju Li asked if there was something going on, and Mu Zhuo Hua said that he didn't pay any attention to Sun Yun Yun's jealous tricks.

Mu Zhuo Hua was writing documents related to disaster relief in Jiangnan. When they went out for a meal, Sun Yun Yun intentionally damaged the document and rewrote it herself. When the Minister of Revenue came to collect the document, Mu Zhuo Hua noticed that it had been damaged. Sun Yun Yun presented another copy of the document, but Mu Zhuo Hua explained that he wrote the document because he personally went to Jiangnan for disaster relief. He was the one who had the clearest understanding of the situation in the entire Ministry of Revenue. He asked Sun Yun Yun for details about the relief efforts, but she couldn't provide any.

However, the Minister of Revenue knew that Sun Yun Yun was the daughter of the Sun family and didn't dare to offend her too much. He believed that having the document was sufficient.
