Episode 6 recap: An Qiu and Cheng Nuo investigate the mysterious case of Li Yi's murder by Yin Tian Hong.

When An Qiu saw Cheng Nuo's signature on the search document, she fell into contemplation. She couldn't understand why Cheng Nuo would deceive her. Just then, Cheng Nuo called and informed her that he had found a lead on Li Yi. He was at the shipyard using a fake name, Li Fei. Cheng Nuo said he would come to pick her up for the investigation.

As An Qiu sat in the car, she couldn't help but think about the slum area. Cheng Nuo asked her many questions about her personal life, and An Qiu felt that he was being unusually talkative today. However, An Qiu unconsciously steered the conversation back to the investigation of the slum area. Cheng Nuo explained that he had intended to go there but had some family matters to attend to, which caused a delay.

An Qiu had doubts about his explanation and found it somewhat forced. The two arrived at the shipyard and inquired about Li Fei. They were told he was in the dormitory. Cheng Nuo and An Qiu went to the dormitory but found it empty. They then went to the pier to search and, in a corner, discovered the bodies of Li Yi and another person. Disappointed, An Qiu said they were too late.

Suddenly, An Qiu noticed a person fleeing and swiftly chased after them. However, the person quickly disappeared into the crowd of off-duty workers. An Qiu stayed at the scene and examined the pupils of Li Yi and the other person, discovering that they were both replicants. The person who died alongside Li Yi was Yin Tian Hong, the last replicant.

Cheng Nuo returned, and An Qiu informed him of the situation. While they were gathering evidence, An Qiu discovered that Yin Tian Hong was still alive. They urgently transported Yin Tian Hong to the hospital, but due to significant blood loss, he suffered from cerebral hypoxia and remained in a coma for a prolonged period.

Cheng Nuo requested to have Yin Tian Hong transferred elsewhere but was denied by the doctors. Seeing Cheng Nuo in a state of frustration, An Qiu intervened and told him to calm down. Cheng Nuo gradually regained his composure after listening to An Qiu's persuasion.

Cheng Nuo and An Qiu returned to the shipyard to investigate the killer. The person in charge claimed that there couldn't be a killer there. Cheng Nuo mentioned that the person they encountered yesterday was wearing their work uniform. After an investigation, the person in charge discovered that their colleague, Huang Da, hadn't returned since last night. Cheng Nuo deliberately mentioned among the coworkers that Li Yi was a replicant to make Huang Da lower his guard and return.

Then Cheng Nuo and An Qiu went to the "uncle" recommended by the foreman, Li Fu Gui, who had a close relationship with Li Yi. However, the uncle's attitude was very unfriendly.

Just then, Cheng Nuo received a call from Li Fu Gui, who said Huang Da had returned. Cheng Nuo decided to go back immediately to catch Huang Da. However, An Qiu decided to stay and continue her investigation. Cheng Nuo returned to the factory and found Huang Da's dormitory in a mess, but he was not there. Suddenly, he realized that the item Huang Da was looking for was with Li Yi. An Qiu was guarding the entrance when she heard the sound of the old man shouting about catching a thief from inside. An Qiu quickly burst into the room and found the old man lying on the ground, while someone was jumping down from the windowsill.

An Qiu realized that the person was Huang Da and shouted to chase after him. Huang Da frantically fled ahead, but Cheng Nuo, who had returned, caught him. Cheng Nuo believed that Huang Da had killed Li Yi, but Huang Da repeatedly emphasized that he did not kill Li Yi.

Under Cheng Nuo's questioning, Huang Da explained what had happened between him and Li Yi. One day, he accidentally overheard a transaction between Li Yi and a woman and discovered the secret that Li Yi was a replicant. To keep him from revealing the secret, Li Yi constantly paid Huang Da money. Huang Da realized that Li Yi had a lot of money and began blackmailing him.

The old man learned that Li Yi had died and wanted to see him one last time. Due to regulations, the doctor did not allow the old man to take Li Yi's body. The old man broke down and locked himself in the morgue, saying he wanted to spend a little more time with Li Yi. Cheng Nuo, speaking from his own experience, convinced the old man, who finally agreed to come out and reveal his story with Li Yi.

The old man said that Li Yi was a person of great loyalty and kindness. One day, Li Yi came to the old man's doorstep hungry and thirsty, and the old man brought him food. Since then, Li Yi had taken care of the old man and, upon learning about his illness, had been raising money for his medical treatment. Cheng Nuo asked the old man where Li Yi's money came from, and the old man said he overheard a conversation between Li Yi and someone else. Li Yi angrily questioned that person about the missing individuals, as if the money came from that person.

Cheng Nuo and An Qiu reconstructed the clues they had gathered and discovered a surprising possibility: Yin Tian Hong, who was lying in the hospital, might be the one who killed Li Yi. They hurriedly returned to the hospital, but Yin Tian Hong was indeed gone. An Qiu noticed a suspicious masked doctor and followed him, but he suddenly held a knife to her neck from behind.
