Episode 21 recap: Yun Wei Shan informed Gong Zi Yu about Wu Feng's plan, and Gong Zi Shang was knocked unconscious by an explosion.

Gong Zi Yu and the three elders were discussing matters in a cave when suddenly there was a commotion. The guards reported that there was an explosion in Gong Zi Shang's experimental room. Shang Guan Qian told Han Ya Qi to take advantage of the chaos within the palace gate and launch a full-scale attack when Gong Shang Jue was weakened. They aimed to capture everyone inside. Yun Wei Shan told Han Ya Si that the "Half-Month Fly" didn't need her help to escape from Wu Feng and regain her freedom. However, Han Ya Si expressed that she only belonged to the winter and couldn't fly towards the light.

Yun Wei Shan said that the palace gate map was only meant for identifying complex terrain, and she couldn't distinguish between north and south. When Gong Shang Jue was about to execute her, Gong Zi Yu saved her. However, at that moment, Hua Zhang Lao attacked Yun Wei Shan, and Gong Zi Yu fought back fiercely. With a single strike of the sword he forged, he severed Hua Zhang Lao's blade. Meanwhile, Yun Wei Shan opened the lock to the secret passage. She made up her mind to leave the palace gate. From the very beginning, her greatest desire was freedom. Both Wu Feng and the palace gate were places of high walls and binding chains. With tears in her eyes, Yun Wei Shan entered the secret passage.

Gong Shang Jue ordered the pursuit of Yun Wei Shan, but Gong Zi Yu now suppressed them in his role as the Blade Master(Zhi Ren). He had successfully passed the third realm trial and became the legitimate Blade Master(Zhi Ren). Everyone, including Gong Shang Jue and Gong Yuan Zheng, followed his orders and paid respects to the new Blade Master(Zhi Ren).

Gong Zi Yu looked at the falling petals in the courtyard. Many people found joy in the singing and dancing of the birds and flowers, but he could only feel a deeper sadness, knowing that Yun Wei Shan had gained her freedom. Yun Wei Shan arrived at a courtyard and discovered that the laborers there intentionally concealed their martial arts skills. She recognized the four men in the courtyard as Wu Feng's people. Han Ya Si had shown her the portraits of the Four Kings before, and although their appearances were vague, it was not difficult to recognize them based on their clothing style. Yun Wei Shan quickened her pace to escape, but one of them blocked her way and demanded that she take them to Wan Hua Tower.

Gong Zi Yu asked Hua Gong Zi about the past, how both Gong Shang Jue and his father had passed the third realm trial, and ultimately only one of them emerged. He also inquired about the whereabouts of the personal guard who didn't know where he went. Hua Gong Zi said that the personal guard didn't die; he stayed behind in the rear mountain to be trained as the Ruby Guard. Gong Zi Yu was given the Mirror Flower Three Forms. Hua Gong Zi felt ashamed for not learning the martial arts of his own family and could only rely on Gong Zi Yu to comprehend them. Gong Shang Jue only learned one form, and the old Blade Master(Zhi Ren) also failed to master all three forms.

Gong Zi Yu arrived in the cave and met with the three elders. Considering that he had passed the three realms trial, the elders decided to reveal the greatest secret of the palace gate to him. They explained that in the past, the first generation Blade Master and the three major families, Snowflake, Moon, and Hua, came to the rear mountain. They dedicated themselves to guarding the rear mountain for generations because there was a person with a unique transformation ability there. In reality, the rear mountain was a vital location for the palace gate's spiritual veins. The Boundless Flowing Fire was used to suppress the person with the transformation ability. However, if it fell into the hands of the enemy, the consequences would be unimaginable. The current situation in the rear mountain is unknown, but the mission left by their ancestors must not be violated.

The elders suspected that Wu Ji was the one who imprisoned Gong Huan Yu in order to gather information about the Boundless Flowing Fire. They advised Gong Zi Yu to unite and cooperate with Gong Shang Jue in order to protect the rear mountain. Since he had become the true Blade Master, he had to choose a bride again in five days, and the harem could not be without a master. Suddenly, there was a mountain collapse and an explosion in Gong Zi Shang's research room. Jin Fan sat on the ground, covered in blood, heartbroken. Gong Zi Shang was barely alive, lying on the bed. Luckily, she had only suffered a head injury, but her body was extensively burned. It was uncertain when she would regain consciousness.

Jin Fan had been guarding her by her side and finally expressed his true feelings, but due to his identity as Lv Yu, he didn't dare to have any extravagant hopes for her. The sudden explosion made them suspicious, especially since Gong Zi Shang had quarreled with Gong Yuan Zheng earlier in order to protect Yun Wei Shan. They discovered Gong Yuan Zheng's wire gloves at the scene and suspected him of being involved. The Four Kings indirectly reprimanded Han Ya Si for not managing her subordinates properly and questioned why she left the palace gate.

Shang Guan Qian deliberately sowed discord, suggesting that the Blade Master framed Gong Yuan Zheng by using the incident with Yun Wei Shan. Five days later, Gong Shang Jue would be at his weakest, and it would also be the day Gong Zi Yu chose his bride. Shang Guan Qian intentionally had Yun Wei Shan inform the elders about the selection on that day. The Four Kings didn't believe that Yun Wei Shan escaped from the palace gate only because her identity was exposed. They accused her of being guilty and demanded that she return to the palace gate to atone for her crimes. Yun Wei Shan, being cleverer than Yun Que, suspected that she was being betrayed by Wu Feng, and Han Ya Si secretly followed her.

Yun Wei Shan arrived at the shop where she and Gong Zi Yu bought the red string in the past. She entrusted the red string and some items to the shopkeeper to be delivered to the palace gate. Han Ya Si advised Yun Wei Shan to leave and regain her freedom, but Yun Wei Shan told him that the Half-Moon Fly was not a poison, and he could also leave if he wanted to. However, Han Ya Si was unwilling to leave.

Jin Fan intentionally fetched the firefly lantern she had once given him. He unexpectedly missed her nagging and absurd theories. At that moment, she suddenly asked him to marry her and requested that Jin Fan keep her awakening a secret and quietly bring Gong Zi Yu to her. Gong Huan Yu asked Gong Zi Yu to avenge him and find the Boundless Flowing Fire on his behalf.
