Episode 5 recap: Chen Mi Ren is mistaken for a thief.
Qi Chao found Zhong Wei and asked him what he had been busy with lately, as he couldn't find him even when he wanted to treat him to a meal. Zhong Wei said it was a secret. Chen Mi Ren hurriedly rushed to the classroom when Xu Miao Miao messaged him, saying that today was Lao Cao's class and attendance was mandatory. She asked why Chen Mi Ren hadn't arrived yet. Chen Mi Ren had overslept and asked Xu Miao Miao why she didn't wake him up. Xu Miao Miao said that Chen Mi Ren had told them to go ahead without him, but he was still half asleep and forgot about it.
Zhong Wei came over riding a bicycle, and Chen Mi Ren asked him when he had returned. Zhong Wei said it was this morning and offered to give Chen Mi Ren a ride. Chen Mi Ren was happy about it, but it turned out that Zhong Wei's bicycle didn't have a backseat. Chen Mi Ren asked Zhong Wei to go ahead and delay the class for a bit.
When Chen Mi Ren arrived at the classroom, Lao Cao was at the entrance catching latecomers. Zhong Wei brought a question to ask Lao Cao, blocking his line of sight, and Chen Mi Ren quickly sneaked into the classroom. After class, people were discussing Chen Mi Ren among themselves.
Xu Miao Miao noticed and told them to speak up if they had something to say. Two girls mentioned that there was a thief in their dormitory and wondered if she didn't know anything about it. Chen Mi Ren asked if they were talking about her, and the girls said that it was what Chen Mi Ren herself had said, not them. Xu Miao Miao asked if it was Zhao Gu who had said it, and Zhao Gu admitted it. Xu Miao Miao thought that Chen Mi Ren had accidentally opened one of Zhao Gu's packages, and she questioned whether Zhao Gu needed to make such a big deal out of it.
Zhong Wei came over to defend Chen Mi Ren and said he believed that Chen Mi Ren couldn't be a thief. Chen Mi Ren remembered borrowing a few sanitary pads from Zhao Gu when she had a stomachache and didn't have time to buy them herself. She told Zhao Gu they could discuss it later. Zhong Wei stopped Chen Mi Ren, thinking that she should clarify things with Zhao Gu right there. Chen Mi Ren shook off Zhong Wei's hand, asking him not to interfere.
Chen Mi Ren and the others returned to the dormitory, and Chen Mi Ren explained the situation with the sanitary pads, saying that she had bought a pack to return to Zhao Gu, but she lost them, and then she forgot about it. Zhao Gu asked if Chen Mi Ren had a receipt, but Chen Mi Ren said she lost it too. Zhao Gu insisted on believing only in evidence.
Xu Miao Miao suddenly remembered that Bao Jia Guo was going to give her a pack of sanitary pads, but she misunderstood him as a pervert. She finally realized where the pack of sanitary pads Chen Mi Ren bought was. Xu Miao Miao went to find Bao Jia Guo and explained that Chen Mi Ren had been misunderstood because of this incident, asking him to buy a pack of sanitary pads. Although Bao Jia Guo was reluctant, he went to buy them for the sake of class harmony.
However, when Bao Jia Guo went to buy the sanitary pads, he ran into a classmate and quickly covered the pads, accidentally grabbing an extra pack of condoms. When he gave them to Xu Miao Miao, she saw the condoms. Xu Miao Miao threw the condoms back to Bao Jia Guo and thought that he really was a pervert. Bao Jia Guo was bewildered and had no idea how those ended up in his possession.
Zhao Gu mentioned that her watch was also missing, and Chen Mi Ren didn't usually take it. Just then, a dormitory supervisor came and said they had found the thief who stole things, instructing Zhao Gu to retrieve her watch. Zhao Gu returned and apologized to Chen Mi Ren, realizing that she had misunderstood her. Chen Mi Ren accepted the apology, and they shook hands, reconciling their differences. Zhao Gu also clarified the situation in the class group chat.
Everyone was choosing which club to join, and Zhao Gu joined the music club. Chen Mi Ren and Xu Miao Miao went to the cheerleading squad club, even though the spots were already filled. However, Zheng Ze happened to be there, so he talked to the person in charge and managed to secure an extra spot for them. In the afternoon during the re-auditions, Xu Miao Miao confidently performed a dance, but the coach crossed her name off the registration form directly.
