I have a friend, and we all know who it is. Only when you have a friend in your heart can you write about friends. Thanks to Bi Dao's unyielding spirit, thank you for persistently capturing group portraits, thank you for still possessing the spirit and ideals to wield the pen with force and vigor. I hope that originality can bloom again in this land.

I have a friend who watched it and felt that, apart from the slightly stiff dialogue, this drama has a unique flavor reminiscent of the live-action version of Kenshin Himura, with its eccentricities, occasional humor, and group performances. It has a main storyline and genuine emotions. Moreover, the protagonist not only portrays the people around him but also internally criticizes and jokes about them. Does that leave us viewers speechless? And about the young madam, are you really not Wan Qian's sister?

At first, I thought it was just a lighthearted ensemble drama, but unexpectedly, there was a captivating main storyline. "Classmates" had the naivety, resonance, and nostalgia to make up for it, but this one relies entirely on acting skills. Fortunately, Director Bi has matured in every sense. And of course, the most magical thing is that Director Bi can always compensate for the actors' lack of acting skills with the charm of the characters.

Meng San Xi's memories are quite nostalgic. The Meng San Xi who was once a beggar felt awkward, while Mu Yun Cheng had already let go of all burdens. Over time, I gradually started living in your image. Ever since Bei Xiao Hai left, Meng San Xi has been diligently remembering the traces left by his brothers every day. North and South are a bit prone to tears.

I particularly liked Episode 14. I loved the compassion that was filled with respect, without moral coercion. I also loved the song "Haiwa and Sanya," where the lyrical poet's melancholic scale became popular~ And I loved the final lines, "When I have money in the future, I'll lend it to you," "Do I need to return it? " "No need," "Then you don't need to return it either.

Standbyme" and "bewithyou" are alternative ways for the broken window to achieve its dream. "Meng San Xi" always expresses the cruelest words in the most playful manner. Director Bi is really good at controlling this trio's drama. Meng San Xi, Yan Si Fang, and Ye Wu Zhi conceal the shadows of Ren Yifan, Lu Qiaochuan, and Zhong Bai. It's a funny world, and it's a lot of fun.

The characters use unconventional words and actions to conceal their inner sadness. People without a home, burdened with hatred, abandoned by others...
Everyone has a sad past, but sadness doesn't need to be deliberately expressed. Because I have a friend, although he's very unconventional, he doesn't pry into my past, he doesn't say comforting words, and he often tricks me. But he always manages to unexpectedly bring me a little warmth when I'm at my most vulnerable.

This is the biggest surprise since the beginning of autumn. The second season must follow closely. This is the current martial arts saga. Each person has a distinct personality, yet they all have a radiant spirit. It's different from those romantic dramas that solely focus on portraying the entangled and inexplicable conflicts between the male and female leads, where they only guess instead of asking, causing mutual harm and then forgiving each other with laughter. In this drama, every character has a strong presence, and it is precisely because of these different individuals that it can be considered a genuine martial world.

The sentimental scenes are all cliché templates, shallow to the point of death, and yet so forcefully executed. I've never seen a director who feels the need to add their name to every big title just to assert their existence. They wrote themselves with deep thoughts, but in the end, the plot lacked substance. It's just a story relying on a loudmouth. // The other comedic parts are decent, and the little sisters are all adorable.

This is the best historical comedy I've seen recently. It's labeled as a comedy, but the storyline is incredibly well-developed. It appears absurd yet has a strong sense of logic and philosophy. Based on the trailer, I thought it would be a typical episodic comedy and didn't have high expectations. I casually watched it after finishing another show, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise.

This episode (Episode 10) reminded me of many things— the spacious courtyards in the countryside, the red flowers of my childhood, trees laden with pomegranates, and the chattering companions. However, the path of life is meant to be moved forward on, as there are no eternal feasts in this world.

It's a rare ensemble drama that blends comedy and lyricism together. It's truly remarkable how each character is vivid, three-dimensional, and memorable.
Ji San, Ji Si, Ji Wu, and Ji Liu are actually very different individuals, but when they are together, it's the most beautiful thing in the world. Every time they have a conversation, it makes me laugh uncontrollably. I really like Yan Si Fang. How can there be such a good-looking, upright, eye-rolling, reliable, and sarcastic engineering student?
And Ji San and Ji Liu are truly addictive. Honestly, at first glance, Liu Yun Gui looks better in modern attire than in ancient costume, but the moment he appeared, he captured the essence of a gentle and capable nobleman with hidden intelligence, a mischievous streak, and a love for Ji Ming Zhao. Even though it was clear they hadn't fallen in love yet, they still kept me hooked (of course, the chemistry between the four leads is just too powerful, so you both keep up the good work, and I'll happily indulge in it).

I'm so disappointed. From the obscure and unclear posters that I can't even make out to the so-called "youthful" acting and poor production design, I can understand. But why is the script and plot so terrible? I can overlook the cliché plotline of the protagonist losing their power, but a world-renowned master craftsman suddenly has no connections and can't earn any money? In the drama, the currency is worth hundreds or even thousands, yet they casually spend money like they're playing house. If they truly believe in their abilities but lack money, they should go and make a sitcom. The gap between them and their peers is too wide.

How did it get an 8.5 rating? It's purely a show for casual viewers, with repetitive and meaningless exaggerated lines and exaggerated physical movements. Is the plot so lacking that they have to rely on these? Not only does it diminish the actors' acting skills, but it also seems to be filled with low-level, tired jokes. It's extremely boring and childish.

Hatred is hatred, and life is life. One moment, everything is in ruins, and the next moment, you are warmly cared for by the people around you. There are too many paragraphs that poke at me, but the most heart-wrenching part is when you realize that the people who were once your fellow disciples or family members, after experiencing so much together, become strangers when you meet again. Those people from your memories, let them remain in the past, forever preserving their appearance in your memories. Wouldn't that be nice? But unfortunately, they appear before you as different people, making you wonder if there really is another group of people with the same faces, living the same lives. You thought you knew each other, but they don't recognize you, and you don't recognize them. It's better to believe in immortals in this world, believe it, so that the sadness can be lessened. Even if there are countless holes in your heart, you can still live a good life.

I watched eleven episodes in one go, and because I was so focused and didn't fast forward, when it got too late, I had to reluctantly go to sleep and couldn't continue watching. It's really good! It's completely in the style of Director Bi. The female leads are all unique, talented, and beautiful. The male leads are also intriguing in their own ways. Meng San Xi is determined and never gives up. As long as we don't give up, whether it's "Passing Through the Window Together" or "I Have a Friend," it will all continue.

I feel that the first half is really enjoyable and can truly make people laugh heartily, especially Episode 14. I personally think it's the highlight of the show. However, the second half feels a bit dragging. Those unnecessary emotional scenes really aren't needed... Maybe the audience just wants to quickly know the truth? Like me, I can't believe we have to wait until the second season for the truth to be revealed.

The first 18 episodes of this drama are quite funny, and I find myself laughing in almost every episode. However, in the later episodes, it starts to rely too much on sentimental plotlines, and it feels a bit excessive. The romantic scenes involving the supporting characters are somewhat natural, but they also feel abrupt. The pairing of Ji Si and Ji Si is even more abrupt, while the relationship between Si Fang and Qiu Yue Bai feels more natural. It's better not to delve too deep into the main plotline of the drama and just enjoy watching it without thinking too much.
I felt uncomfortable when I learned halfway through that the director was marginalizing the female lead. It's a kind of workplace bullying, where a male leader abuses their power to oppress a female subordinate. If they actually replace the female lead later on, then there won't be much left to watch. It's ironic that in a drama about friendship, such marginalization exists.

Initially, I was attracted to this drama because I saw a comment comparing it to a younger version of "My Own Swordsman." Although I gave it four stars, I have to say it falls far short of the five-star "My Own Swordsman." Firstly, I don't deny that it's a good historical comedy, but when I watch comedies, I primarily want to feel happy. In this drama, especially in the later parts filled with a lot of sorrowful memories, it just doesn't work for me.
Let's talk about the romantic relationships. It's not that there shouldn't be any romantic storylines, but I always feel that the romantic relationships are very abrupt. I don't know when these two couples developed feelings for each other. When Yan Si Fang was slapped by the boss and she placed her entire palm on his face, I know it was meant to create a warm and ambiguous atmosphere, but when I saw it, I was just shocked. Wasn't it all playful and innocent friendship in the earlier episodes? Now I'm watching the second-to-last episode, and I really liked the juxtaposition between the gala program and the Three Treasures' actions, but the last few episodes have been filled with sad memories. Hey, I just want to see more of their journey of building the department store.

Although the interactions and dialogues among the main characters are really funny! Many times they hit my funny bone! Even my tearful moments! But there are just too many unresolved plot holes in this drama! Not a single one was filled, and it feels like 40% of the setup was dug up! Only a super small goal was accomplished... Also, it would be better if the different families were more distinct, with more differentiation in terms of their business types and their family preferences and strengths! Even after watching all 24 episodes, I still couldn't figure out which family is which, what each family did, and who harmed whom. Especially in the final climax, the main storyline became completely muddled, and it ended in a confusing way... It's a bit of a pity, I wonder if the next season will be able to fill in the gaps.

There are so many foreshadowings, but they keep forcefully stirring up emotions. When Meng San Xi returned to the sect and cried and laughed by himself, it really left me feeling awkward. And in the end, when the three of them ate together and one of them was shaking their leg, it truly left me speechless. When will Ji Zhan Guan be able to get involved? It's a kind of show that really suits my taste. A good script is truly paramount, and the nonsensical humor really entertained me. However, the excessive cliffhangers in the last few episodes to set up the next season were a bit too much. Even if there's a next season and the season after that, I feel like at least one season should resolve a main storyline to make it a truly good script. Also, the overuse of certain clichéd jokes about widows and beautiful women and their bedrooms is really tasteless. The show starts off a bit slow, but it becomes interesting from the 8th episode onwards. Solid scriptwriting combined with good acting results in an exciting experience. The casting for Chizi and Si is highly satisfying! Chizi's presence exudes the aura of a foolish son from a wealthy family. Si's eye-rolling moments are truly hilarious, as well as the sudden switch to a Guangdong accent. It makes perfect sense for Guangdong to be portrayed as a barbarian region in ancient times.

Ensemble casts always seem to follow the same formula. However, some of the overused clichés were really unnecessary and not enjoyable or funny. Excellent! My opinion differs from some of the popular reviews. I actually prefer the dialogue style of this series over the traditional wuxia and chivalry elements because, in essence, this drama has very little to do with traditional martial arts and the martial world. It can be said that those aspects are just a facade. I don't usually watch period dramas that lack a strong wuxia or martial world atmosphere, but I fully embrace this one because it cleverly packages many modern principles within its historical setting.
While watching the first few episodes, I had a sense of familiarity, like with "Together." Upon investigation, it turned out to be the work of the same director! It still carries that unique comedic style that manages to convey emotions and provoke contemplation.
I wholeheartedly agree with the value and focal point of this drama. We all have emotions that are hard to let go of, and we tend to preserve the beauty we see in them. Even if one day we discover the truth, we still need the "facts are what I perceive" mentality as a form of spiritual victory. Moreover, we have more wonderful things worth cherishing. (If in the next season, the storyline takes a sharp turn, let's just pretend I didn't say anything.) Also, I'm eagerly looking forward to the second season and the hidden truths it holds.

I've always had an aversion to watching school dramas, so even though I heard that "Through the Window" had great word-of-mouth, I didn't watch it. As for historical dramas, aren't they just repeating the same old stories? But then, I watched it! Ironically, my roommate recommended the last episode to me, and I had no clue about the crazy antics of the trio, their supposed "understanding," or the shopkeeper's tsundere behavior and the betrayal of acquaintances. It was a revelation that unfolded in a mesmerizing manner, like the deep contemplation of a hidden monk in plain sight. I initially thought it was a mindless short drama, but it seems I underestimated it. It has depth and can be moving. Although the low budget is evident in the special effects, subtitles, and makeup, the flaws don't overshadow its beauty. The emotional manipulation in the final few episodes felt a bit excessive, but the genuine and subtle emotional expressions in the earlier parts were more poignant.
Let's start over, once again.
For me, an interesting soul can still surpass the temptation of beauty. I really love this drama. It has a comedic shell that wraps around a tragic core.
I really like Wu Zhi. She is so innocent and adorable as she ventures out into the world. Even though she gets into fights, reads adult books, gambles, and has been to jail, she is still a good girl!
In the early stages, I laughed a lot and felt happy, but as their stories were revealed later on, I cried so miserably. I hope Ji San, Ji Si, and Ji Wu can dominate the world soon! After all, the Nameless Department Store holds the three treasures of the rivers and lakes!
The ending was both unexpected and expected, and I quite liked this style. The beginning was hilariously inexplicable, and the later part made me cry. In the end, all three characters reconciled, and there are still suspenseful plotlines involving Sanqi Dao and Doctor Liu waiting for the next season.
I also really like the concept of Sanqi Dao. Looking forward to it!
I finished watching it before bed, and it was truly disgusting. After a whole season, they still haven't explained anything clearly.
If not, then maybe they should bring in Er Jie instead. It's all so confusing. I didn't understand anything in the first season, and I have no idea what's coming next.
It's frustrating, especially at this late hour.
It's so, so good! It made me laugh and cry! There's no cliché love story; instead, it's a genuine tale of chivalry and redemption in the martial arts world. After watching the entire series, there were no awkward or foolish plot arrangements.
Every storyline and dialogue had perfect responses, making it incredibly enjoyable to watch! Each character in the ensemble cast was meticulously portrayed. I truly love it! Even though I didn't know any of these actors before and didn't have any expectations, they all delivered outstanding performances with their unique styles!
Can't wait for the second season to come out!
Overall, for me, it still has its flaws, but the character development is something I really enjoy.
I had a dream before, where I and a friend were in the same subway car, sitting close to each other, but we didn't speak. I saw her, and she saw me, with unfamiliarity and confusion in our eyes.
It felt like there was an insurmountable distance between us. Then, somehow, the two ends of the subway train pulled the carriages in different directions, and in that moment, I felt a mix of confusion and acceptance...
I once heard a saying that if you dream about someone after a long time has passed, it means that the fate between you has come to an end.
Can this explain everything? "Be With You.
The last ten episodes were the most enjoyable. The beginning was really difficult to watch, and I found myself fast-forwarding while considering giving up. It wasn't until the introduction of the ensemble cast centered around the "Nameless Department Store" that things started to pick up.
The progression of the main storyline involving revenge and investigation, especially the underlying stories behind characters three, four, and five, kept me hooked. Now I'm eager to watch the second season because there were just too many unanswered questions left at the end.
An amazing drama, disguised as a comedy, but it conveys a lot of genuine emotions and experiences. The main characters are constantly growing and seeking redemption. It is also filled with various past events and mysteries.
The logical consistency throughout, as well as the foreshadowing of hidden plot lines, are well done. However, there were quite a few unresolved cliffhangers in the last episode. Looking forward to the director filling in those gaps in the second season.
Call it a comedy, but it has a tragic core where every character is suffering; call it a period drama, yet the plot is so similar to real life, full of familiar tropes; call it a comedy, but it hides deep suspenseful clues and intricately woven character backgrounds...
Overall, it's a drama that requires a lot of thinking. The screenwriter's approach is unique, making it especially worth watching! I hope the second season comes out soon to fill in all the gaps!
I really like the character Wuzhi. The portrayal is excellent and fits the role perfectly. However, there are a few characters whose acting skills and lines are a bit off and it affects the viewing experience. The dialogue and jokes are quite interesting, but the main storyline feels a bit strange.
The connection is not particularly smooth, and I often forget about the main plot and find the banter among the trio more entertaining.
I won't deny that this drama had some cheesy jokes in the beginning that might not sit well with female viewers, but after watching the entire series, there are definitely parts that deserve praise.
It's a show that makes you laugh and cry, with comedy at its core, which is indeed a tragicomedy. Haiwa and Sanyao really hit the emotional chords and bring tears to your eyes, showcasing their powerful performances.
Ensemble casts always seem to follow the same formula. However, some of the overused clichés were really unnecessary and not enjoyable or funny. The beginning was good, and I particularly liked the part about renovating the bathhouse.
The ending felt weak, with an excessive attempt at being emotional. It felt forced without substance, further exposing the shortcomings of the actors' performances.
The script is really entertaining! Three main characters and four families, each person is portrayed very well. The humorous dialogues are cleverly written and have great continuity. One moment you're laughing, and the next you're tearing up when you see Meng San Xi writing, "Please, tell me where the new address is." The slightly exaggerated acting fits perfectly in this script.
Hmmmmmm, it's a drama that's suitable as background music when doing crafts. Although I don't love it very much, it definitely can't be considered terrible either. There's a sense of sincere humor in it. Because I don't recognize any of the actors, I actually find it somewhat refreshing, and I've become more tolerant of their acting skills, hhhhhhh.
A comedy within a mystery, a tragedy within a comedy. I really enjoyed the intricate connections and captivating details in the series. The actors also delivered outstanding performances, and there wasn't a single character that wasn't likable.
Bi Xin Ye's drama remains a masterpiece, and I'm eagerly looking forward to the second season.
When Yan Si Fang looks at Ji Ming Zhao, she is reminded of her mother. Ji Ming Zhao helps him gently wipe away the blood from his mouth after he gets beaten up. Ji Ming Zhao keeps his word and returns when he says he will.
Yan Si Fang learns to trust others, and Meng San Xi learns to face her own inner feelings without pretending to be indifferent.
As for Ye Wu Zhi, she goes from being a naive beauty to someone who enjoys drinking and gambling.
Well, she can handle it because she has two good friends.
... How can "Season 1 complete" already? Did that group of people go to attack San Qi Dao?
Binged it in two days. The plot is a mix of everyday life and intriguing elements, but the forced flashback in the last few episodes wasn't as captivating. The storytelling technique of using multiple trios to deepen the bonds between characters was clever.
However, in the end, apart from Wu Zhi's storyline being well-explained, the storylines of the two male leads were left unresolved. It feels like a deliberate move to generate anticipation for the second season.
It's difficult to evaluate... My friend really, really likes this drama, but I can't stand their exaggerated acting style and some nonsensical plotlines. It's especially awkward, and sometimes I can't even understand what they're doing...
But there are moments that genuinely touch me and make my tears flow uncontrollably. Sigh, it's a bit of a pity.
The most satisfying drama I've watched this year! After finishing it, I immediately recommended it to everyone around me, and they all thought it was fantastic. I really liked every character, and the pacing of the whole drama was great.
It didn't make me feel anxious or obsessed, but I just wanted to keep watching. The male lead's acting skills could use some improvement, but overall, his portrayal matched the character well. I'm looking forward to the story in the second season.
Please don't change the female lead!
After finishing the earlier episodes and rewatching them, it was amazing—truly amazing. It was a revelation that unfolded in a mesmerizing manner, like the deep contemplation of a hidden monk in plain sight. It's hard to describe, but you really want to become a member of the main group, and you even think that staying in this village wouldn't be a bad idea.
Who knows, there might be even higher-level hidden identities. It's like it can inexplicably heal my heart, alleviate the frustrations of a day's toil, and has a strong urge for me to immerse myself in it. It's a drama with a powerful impact that keeps going.
Some words, when spoken, elicit sympathy; while others, left unspoken but still understood, signify true friendship. Sometimes, I still miss them, yearning for them with aching heart, yet there's no need to confide in anyone.
Even though I remain amidst the dust, standing amidst desolation, in this vast world, I am no longer alone.
In reality, I just want "a friend," don't I?
A friend to throw shoes barefoot with, to shake our legs and enjoy liquor and chestnuts together. A friend who would jokingly say, "Even if I die and become a ghost or a deity, I'll still float around you." A friend who would say to us, "Knowing you is a stroke of luck; telling others that I know you is a matter of pride." A friend who would become a part of each other's souls.
In truth, I simply desire to have a friend.
The ensemble cast directed by Bi is phenomenal. If you've watched "Through the Window," you should be familiar and well-adjusted to Bi's style. This kind of seasonal broadcasting is well-received, as long as we don't have to wait too long and avoid delays.
After all, this type of drama is the kind that can be enjoyed no matter which episode you randomly pick—it's time to build our own little universe.
Compared to storytelling, it feels like Bi is more skilled at writing relationships between characters.
So, his dramas can have countless pairings, and there should always be sweet moments. Let's not focus on the official pairings and instead ship April and Ji Liu, even if it's a mistake. Lastly, Yan Si Fang, cheers to you.
Five stars are simply not enough to express my love for this drama. It has become one of my all-time favorite TV shows. "I Have a Friend" is like a kind gesture extended by the world to me, reminding me not to be too disappointed in this world.
Together with San, Si, and Wu, I discover the hidden beauty of the world and rediscover its warmth amidst their deep-rooted vengeance. The camaraderie and understanding among the friends in the series are deeply cherished and evoke a warm feeling with just a glance.
That warmth spills over the screen, comforting me and making it hard to part ways. I eagerly await the second season.
Every episode is packed with humor, and regardless of costumes, acting, or cinematography, the plot development and dialogue resonate deeply with the working-class people who are drifting in a foreign land.
It's a comforting way to end the day, enjoying a meal in a rented room with laughter. At first glance, it seems like none of the actors have outstanding looks, but as the story progresses and the characters are developed, with each episode featuring flashbacks and character shaping, it becomes apparent that each character is both attractive and profound.
You can't resist the loveliness emanating from within each person.
A very unique narrative style. At the beginning of each episode, it's hard to understand what's happening, but then the story slowly unfolds, and in the end, everything becomes clear. The ultimate truth hasn't been revealed yet, so there's probably a second season in the works.
The entire series is permeated with a sense of loneliness, the search for belonging, and the longing for love, understanding, and companionship.
Hai Wa and San Ya—what kind of existence is this song? I've listened to it several times, and yet I can't help but be moved to tears.
Well, it's hard to say. In the beginning, it was quite confusing, with too many dialogues that I couldn't understand. But as I progressed, I realized that the earlier parts were actually laying the groundwork for the story.
The final episode also set up many backgrounds for the characters, leaving room for future development. I have a feeling that when the second season airs, I'll have to revisit the first season.
The portrayal of the ensemble cast is decent, although some of the dialogues feel a bit forced.
Not bad. The director's shooting style, pacing, character designs, and dialogue all have a distinct personal touch. The overall comedic style that emerged was quite unexpected for me. The actors chosen also have unique characteristics.
The female lead really, really resembles Wan Qian, and the male lead looks like Max Ma from "Village Survival." Maybe they should consider being related by marriage.
