Episode 2 recap: Ye Liu Xi confessed to Chang Dong that she had lost her memory.
Ye Liu Xi asked Chang Dong if he lived there and mentioned that she wanted to go to his room to take a shower instead of using the public bath. Chang Dong saw Ye Liu Xi entering the hotel with another man, and nearby, a woman was discussing how the man often drugged her. Chang Dong hurried over, but nobody answered the door.
Ye Liu Xi approached and explained that she came to find Chang Dong. Chang Dong asked if she didn't come up with another man, but Ye Liu Xi denied it. Ye Liu Xi went to Chang Dong's room to shower, and Chang Dong went in to check. He discovered that the man had been undressed and tied to the bed. Chang Dong covered the man with a bathrobe and came out to ask Ye Liu Xi what happened.
Ye Liu Xi admitted that she was responsible and explained that she had given the man the same drugs he had given to others, so it was fair. Chang Dong expressed concerns about the weather and not wearing clothes while staying overnight, as it could lead to freezing to death. He also mentioned that he wanted Ye Liu Xi to guide him and didn't want her to get into trouble. Even if she wanted to kill or set fire, she should wait until they finished their current task.Fei Tang sneaked over to Ye Liu Xi's car to investigate, but Ye Liu Xi caught him in the act and immediately tied him up. Fei Tang quickly called for Chang Dong's help, and Chang Dong had no idea why Fei Tang was searching through Ye Liu Xi's car. Fei Tang asked Chang Dong to help cover up his actions, citing their past relationship. Chang Dong reluctantly claimed that he had instructed Fei Tang to search Ye Liu Xi's car because he wanted to know who Ye Liu Xi really was. Ye Liu Xi stated that seeing him once was enough and that it shouldn't happen again.
Fei Tang followed Chang Dong upstairs and briefly explained the situation with the head of the yellow goat, which is why he came to park Ye Liu Xi's car. Fei Tang said he knew that Chang Dong wanted to enter Hailong Mound and was willing to contribute financially and physically. He expressed his desire to accompany Chang Dong and assured him that he wouldn't be a burden. Chang Dong agreed. Fei Tang mentioned that there were two beds in Chang Dong's place, suggesting that they could share a room instead of getting separate ones. Chang Dong also agreed.
Chang Dong went to find Ye Liu Xi, who was working at a barbecue stall. He told her that he had promised to take her to Hailong Mound and believed that the body wasn't in the places those people frequented, or else it would have been discovered long ago. Chang Dong drew a map of Hailong Mound and pointed out three distinctive landmarks on the other side, asking Ye Liu Xi to identify their location. Ye Liu Xi pointed to a specific spot. Chang Dong told her to meet him at the Forward Bridge the next morning at 4:30 am. Ye Liu Xi questioned why they had to meet so early, to which Chang Dong replied that she would understand when she arrived.The next day, Ye Liu Xi arrived at the Forward Bridge but waited for a long time without seeing Chang Dong. Fuming with anger, she went to find him and asked why he didn't show up. Chang Dong accused her of being dishonest, claiming that the three places she mentioned at Hailong Mound didn't exist, and that the photo she discovered wasn't genuine.Ye Liu Xi admitted that she indeed didn't know about those places and expressed her desire to enter Hailong Mound. She asked Chang Dong to accompany her to a location later in the afternoon, where she would disclose everything to him. Ye Liu Xi led Chang Dong to a tree in the desert, with a noose nearby. She revealed that she woke up in this area a year and a half ago and didn't remember anything from before.Ye Liu Xi handed Chang Dong a camera, explaining that it was the object she found beside her when she woke up, and the photo of Chang Dong's girlfriend was inside it. Ye Liu Xi claimed that everything had a basis, and since the photo ended up with her, it meant they were destined to be involved in this matter. Chang Dong agreed to take Ye Liu Xi inside Hailong Mound, and she handed him the money.
