Episode 15 recap: Zhu Jiu and Fu Yun Shen reconcile.
Initially, Chen Le felt guilty because Fu Yun Shen's recovery was not going well. He believed that if he had been the one driving the car, such a problem would not have occurred. Zhou Zhi Zhi was always there to comfort Chen Le, emphasizing that they needed to stay strong to help Fu Yun Shen. Chen Le learned about a neurological clinical trial in Heidelberg and saw it as an opportunity. He discussed it with Manager Jiang, who initially disagreed but eventually agreed.
Zhu Jiu called her grandmother, who had just finished teaching children to read ancient poems. Zhu Jiu mentioned that she couldn't go home to celebrate the Lunar New Year with her grandmother this year. Her grandmother, who had grown accustomed to it, advised Zhu Jiu to take good care of her health. Zhu Jiu sent a message to Chen Le, informing him that she had resigned. Concerned, Chen Le called Zhu Jiu and inquired about the reason for her resignation. After much contemplation, Chen Le decided to share Fu Yun Shen's situation with Zhu Jiu. He emphasized that Zhu Jiu was the only one who could help Fu Yun Shen and that if even she gave up, there might be no one left to assist him.
While walking on the street, Zhu Jiu encountered a former patient who begged her to save a friend. However, when Zhu Jiu arrived at the designated location, she realized that she had been deceived. The other person refused to let Zhu Jiu leave and attempted to take advantage of her. Zhu Jiu seized the opportunity to escape but was eventually knocked unconscious. In her hazy state, Zhu Jiu noticed a nearby bottle of alcohol and used it to strike the person's head when they were distracted. Despite her actions in self-defense, Zhu Jiu was taken into custody by the police on charges of intentional harm.
Zhu Jiu tried calling Ji Jingtang and another colleague, but they didn't answer. Just then, Linda called, hoping that Zhu Jiu could come back and check on the dog because it hadn't been eating well lately. Zhu Jiu asked Linda for help and mentioned that they were still at the police station. Linda quickly informed Fu Yun Shen about the situation. Fu Yun Shen was surprised to hear that Zhu Jiu had almost been assaulted and tried to stand up from his wheelchair using a cane to go downstairs, but ended up falling down the stairs.
Zhou Zhizhi, who was upstairs, saw this and went down to ask Fu Yun Shen where he wanted to go, but Fu Yun Shen remained silent. Later, Fu Yun Shen took Linda to the area where Zhu Jiu had been attacked, hoping to find surveillance cameras. Actually, Fu Yun Shen could have handed the case over to a lawyer, but the lawyer was away on a business trip. In order to rescue Zhu Jiu as soon as possible, Fu Yun Shen decided to investigate on his own. The snow was falling heavily, and Linda initially wanted Fu Yun Shen to go back, but he happened to see the surveillance cameras near the scene where Zhu Jiu was attacked and successfully located the crime scene.
Zhu Jiu was released on bail by Fu Yun Shen's lawyer. Zhu Jiu was happy to hear that Fu Yun Shen had also arrived, but when she warmly faced Fu Yun Shen, he remained cold. After Fu Yun Shen left, Zhu Jiu couldn't hold back her tears anymore. From the lawyer, Zhu Jiu learned that the evidence was personally obtained by Fu Yun Shen, and he also planned to sue the man who violated Zhu Jiu's residence. Zhu Jiu didn't understand why Fu Yun Shen was so cold to her and still wanted to help her. Zhou Zhizhi happened to come over and told Zhu Jiu the truth of the situation. Zhou Zhizhi knew she had no chance and pleaded with Zhu Jiu to help Fu Yun Shen. Zhu Jiu was grateful that Zhou Zhizhi had told her the whole story.
Then, Zhu Jiu hurriedly ran to the villa. In fact, Fu Yun Shen hadn't thrown away the mint leaves; he had been silently taking care of them all along. When Zhu Jiu arrived, she kissed Fu Yun Shen, and this time he didn't push her away. Fu Yun Shen was worried that it would be difficult for Zhu Jiu to be with him in the future, but Zhu Jiu didn't care at all. She just wanted to face whatever came their way together with Fu Yun Shen. Fu Yun Shen found Leo and expressed his desire to participate in the clinical trial for olfactory cells. Leo thought it was risky, but Fu Yun Shen asked him not to tell Zhu Jiu and to wait until after the surgery was successful.
Zhu Jiu and Fu Yun Shen were in a good state now. Fu Yun Shen saw a happy family together, with the father carrying his son, and he felt envious. Later, Fu Yun Shen told Zhu Jiu that he was prepared to undergo the surgery. Zhu Jiu was worried about the risks and didn't want to lose Fu Yun Shen.
