Episode 22 recap: Fu Yun Shen's Proposal Plan

After Zhu Jiu returned home, she found her grandmother still awake. It turned out that Zhu Jiu's grandmother had already prepared the things she would bring to Fu Yun Shen's house the next day. Zhu Jiu was reluctant because these were precious items that her grandmother had saved for a long time. However, her grandmother felt that nothing was more important than her beloved granddaughter, so Zhu Jiu was very happy.

The next day, Fu Yun Shen took Zhu Jiu home. Zhu Jiu was still nervous because she had met Fu Yun Shen's mother before and knew she was not an easy person. With encouragement from Fu Yun Shen, Zhu Jiu finally arrived at Fu Yun Shen's home. Grandfather was very happy to see Zhu Jiu and even wanted to ask how they had met. Grandfather mentioned that Fu Yun Shen's mother was upstairs, so Fu Yun Shen went to personally invite his mother downstairs. However, his mother only acknowledged Zhu Jiu as a friend of Fu Yun Shen and did not recognize her as a daughter-in-law. Fu Yun Shen was disappointed and closed the door, leaving directly.

Grandfather truly liked Fu Yun Shen and could see that the two had a great relationship. While Zhu Jiu was playing around with Fu Yun Shen, Mr. Jiang came downstairs and made sarcastic remarks towards Zhu Jiu. Zhu Jiu knew that she had not been accepted by Mr. Jiang's mother yet, so she felt a bit nervous facing Mr. Jiang.

During the meal, Fu Yun Shen kept serving food to Zhu Jiu. Zhu Jiu could see that Mr. Jiang still had prejudice against her, and he even intentionally asked if she would quit her job after getting married. Zhu Jiu naturally refused because she really liked her profession. Mr. Jiang wanted to use strict conditions to make Zhu Jiu realize that she was not worthy of Fu Yun Shen. Zhu Jiu didn't know how to respond to Mr. Jiang's words.

Afterwards, on the way home, Fu Yun Shen continued to apologize to Zhu Jiu. However, Zhu Jiu was optimistic and told Fu Yun Shen that she was not worried because they still had plenty of time.

When Zhu Jiu left, Mr. Jiang planned to give the gift Zhu Jiu had given him to the nanny. Grandfather came over and told him that if he wanted his son to be happy, he shouldn't do such things, or else he would regret it in the future. After Zhu Jiu returned home, her grandmother told her stories about her parents' love, and she also warned Zhu Jiu that families like Fu Yun Shen's were likely to be very powerful, so she should be prepared.

After returning home, Fu Yun Shen looked at his mother sitting nearby and wanted to have a good talk with her. However, his mother said she didn't understand Zhu Jiu at all. Moreover, now that Fu Xizhou was already the vice president, if things continued like this, the company would belong to Fu Xizhou in the future. Fu Yun Shen came over to clearly tell his mother that he would fight for the company himself, but Zhu Jiu would never give up. Fu Yun Shen hoped that his mother would respect his choices, even if he didn't end up with Zhu Jiu in the end.

The next day, Fu Yun Shen went to work and told everyone that they would be working on the development of a lymphoma vaccine. The board of directors approved the project, and his colleagues were thrilled. Fu Yun Shen even mentioned treating everyone to a meal. That evening, Fu Yun Shen looked at the watch he had designed, originally intended to give it to Zhu Jiu when they had the chance. In the past, when they got stuck in a cave, Fu Yun Shen even drew a watch for Zhu Jiu. Now, he had actually made it for her. Fu Yun Shen had planned to give it to Zhu Jiu during dinner that night, but Zhu Jiu said she wanted to treat Ji Si Lang to a meal. Fu Yun Shen found out and also went there, not wanting Ji Si Lang to have a chance to be alone with Zhu Jiu. Fu Yun Shen deliberately acted very affectionate towards Zhu Jiu, and Ji Si Lang couldn't help but feel a bit jealous.

After returning home, Fu Yun Shen started thinking about how to propose to Zhu Jiu, but he felt that many of his imagined scenes were not quite right. Chen Le saw Fu Yun Shen smiling and knew that he was definitely thinking of Zhu Jiu. Chen Le learned about Fu Yun Shen's plan to propose and quickly offered his own suggestions. Later, Fu Yun Shen called his grandmother for help.

Gu Ruan Ruan took Fu Xizhou to the church they had agreed upon. She had been waiting for this moment for two years, and the wedding was finally going to take place. Zhou Zhi Zhi even gave a gift to Gu Ruan Ruan and asked if she really didn't plan to have a wedding. Gu Ruan Ruan used to dream of a romantic wedding, but because of Fu Xizhou, she had been compromising all along.

When Zhu Jiu had just finished work and was about to go out for dinner with Ji Si Lang and others, she received a call from her grandmother asking her to come home right after work because someone needed to inspect the electrical lines. When Zhu Jiu got home, she saw a table full of food and thought her grandmother had prepared it. However, her grandmother didn't come out even after calling her for a while, and Zhu Jiu figured out that Fu Yun Shen must have prepared everything. Fu Yun Shen came out and presented the watch he had prepared for Zhu Jiu. Zhu Jiu thought Fu Yun Shen was going to propose and immediately stopped him. Fu Yun Shen didn't say the prepared words. He just said he wanted to give Zhu Jiu a watch. Zhu Jiu actually liked Fu Yun Shen a lot, but she believed that marriage was a matter between two families, and since Fu Yun Shen's mother didn't accept her yet, she couldn't marry him.
