Episode 17 recap: Ye Fan learned that Tao Tao has been diagnosed with ALS
Tao Tao feels that this is her fate, but Ye Fan is different. He still has his career and dreams to pursue. Seeing her like this, Ye Fan holds her hand, and Tao Tao continues to say that as long as she is alive, Ye Fan will never give up on her. Concerned, Ye Fan asks her what she wants to do.

Ye Fan says he hasn't slept for forty-eight hours, so his presentation may be rushed and unclear. He hopes Tao Tao can understand. He knows it's a high-risk, high-investment project that may not guarantee results, but he will dedicate all his time and passionate energy to it. He understands Tao Tao's concerns and worries, but she cannot exclude him from their future.
Ye Fan kneels down on one knee and presents the ring he prepared in front of Tao Tao, asking her if she is willing to join his KD plan. Tao Tao, already moved to tears by Ye Fan, extends her hand to him. Tao Tao and Ye Fan return home together. She looks at how Ye Fan has transformed their home and everything he has done for her, and she is deeply touched. She approaches him and embraces him tightly. Ye Fan takes care of Tao Tao every day at home, and he also manages his work from there. Tao Tao tells him that she doesn't want to enter the stage where she needs 24-hour care in advance, so she sends away the people Ye Fan had arranged to call her in the past.
