Episode 15 recap: Xiao Mo proposed to Lin Yan.
Lin Yan recalled her graduation day when her father, Lin Yihai, attended her graduation ceremony. When she introduced Ma Cheng Jun to Lin Yihai, he immediately believed that Ma Cheng Jun had ulterior motives and was not a suitable match for Lin Yan.
Lin Yihai opposed Lin Yan being together with Ma Cheng Jun. However, Lin Yan considered it to be Lin Yihai's prejudice, stemming from the fact that Ma Cheng Jun came from a poor family, and Lin Yihai looked down on him. This led to a rift between Lin Yan and her family in order to be with Ma Cheng Jun.
The last time Lin Yan saw Lin Yihai, he was already very sick and soon passed away. Lin Yan deeply regretted her past stubbornness and how she had hurt her beloved father. Even during the three years she was unconscious in bed, she had some awareness and felt that someone was by her side. Xiao Mo thought Lin Yan recognized that it was him who had been with her, but Lin Yan believed it was just her longing for her father, causing her to have hallucinations. Xiao Mo, witnessing Lin Yan's sadness, kissed her forehead to comfort her.
Lin Yan felt heartbroken over losing her father, but Xiao Mo expressed his willingness to protect her forever. He prepared a "meteor shower" for her, allowing her to feel his care and love. When Lin Yan learned that Xiao Mo coincidentally became Lin Yihai's assistant, she fell in love with him at first sight. However, at that time, she couldn't see Xiao Mo at all. Nevertheless, Xiao Mo had been guarding Lin Yan all along, and now they were finally together. Xiao Mo proposed to Lin Yan, and although Lin Yan liked him, she felt that everything was happening too quickly. She needed some time to consider, and Xiao Mo promised to wait until the day she was ready.
