Episode 17 recap: Dong Dong En's parents discovered Dong Dong En's relationship.
Dong Dong En and Lou Yuan were cuddling downstairs when unexpectedly Dong Dong En's parents came to visit and saw them. They all went back home, and Dong Dong En's father was not pleased. He was upset about their behavior downstairs, worrying about how they would be perceived by others.
Dong Dong En's father asked Lou Yuan about her occupation, and Lou Yuan claimed to be a CEO, but Dong Dong En contradicted and said that Lou Yuan was a CEO's driver. Dong Dong En's mother, on the other hand, seemed quite satisfied with Lou Yuan, but Dong Dong En's father found fault with everything and mentioned that it was already late, urging Lou Yuan to leave. Lou Yuan left first.
Dong Dong En's mother helped Dong Dong En pack up his things and noticed many of Lou Yuan's clothes in the wardrobe. She called Dong Dong En over and asked if he and Lou Yuan were living together. Dong Dong En quickly denied it, but his mother emphasized the importance of taking safety precautions regardless of the situation.
Dong Dong En's mother brought up the situation with Dong Dong En's cousin, who had thought she was marrying a wealthy boss but ended up being deceived and losing everything. The family was furious about it and advised Dong Dong En to carefully choose a partner and not get deceived. Before going to sleep, Dong Dong En's mother mentioned this to Dong Dong En's father, expressing her approval of Lou Yuan and questioning why Dong Dong En's father was being picky. Dong Dong En's father felt that he couldn't just let anyone come and marry Dong Dong En without asking questions and wanted to clarify the situation.
Dong Dong En finally waited until his parents fell asleep and packed up Lou Yuan's things to bring them downstairs. Lou Yuan was waiting downstairs and asked Dong Dong En why he had to say he was the CEO's driver. Dong Dong En explained that his parents didn't like the CEO, and if he had mentioned it, Lou Yuan probably wouldn't even be able to enter the house. Lou Yuan expressed that he didn't want Dong Dong En's parents to think he was dishonest. Dong Dong En took time off to take his parents out for a trip. While having a meal at a restaurant, Dong Dong En's father asked about Lou Yuan's salary and expressed concern about his future prospects as a driver. Dong Dong En was about to reveal that Lou Yuan was actually the CEO when he coincidentally saw Lou Yuan and his business partner coming to the restaurant. Everyone gathered for a meeting to discuss the restaurant's affairs. Lou Yuan's mother agreed to allocate a larger budget this time and emphasized the importance of doing a good job. This surprised everyone. Lou Yuan's mother mentioned that she went shopping with her old friends yesterday, and one of them bought a three-cornered sauce specifically requested by her grandson. She felt embarrassed and wanted to make things right.
Zheng Zheng, who had just joined the company, was actually Su Qi's sister. She talked to Su Qi about Dong Dong En and Lou Yuan's situation, mentioning that Lou Yuan wanted to open a restaurant. Dong Dong En had helped Lou Yuan gather a lot of information about restaurants, and they seemed like a perfect match.
