Cheng Jiayuan, Tao Wu Ji, and Hu Yue became friends because they all joined the bank in the same year. Tao Wu Ji's father visited Shanghai to see him and brought various local specialties in large and small packages. After inviting his father into the rented apartment, Tao Wu Ji's father expressed some complaints about the small size of the birdcage-like accommodation. The teacher called Zhao Hui to inform him that Zhao Rui was in a bad mood and left after attending only one class.
Knowing that Zhao Rui would often go to her friend Wu Xian Long's house when she was not feeling well, Zhao Hui went there and indeed found his daughter playing games with Wu Xian Long's son. Initially, they were having a lively conversation and laughing, but when they saw Zhao Hui, Zhao Rui's attitude immediately turned cold.
