Episode 15 recap: Wei Ming helped Huang Jia Yi celebrate her birthday.
Jiang Xi initially intended to leave with her belongings but was informed by Mi Xue that Wei Ming was looking for her. Wei Ming reproached Jiang Xi for not informing her earlier that Gu Xu was coming. Gu Xu reassured them that it was alright, and Wei Ming expressed her satisfaction with Jiang Xi's handling of the project, as Jiang Xi was the talent she had nurtured herself. Wei Ming approached Jiang Xi and stated that she would take credit for the successful collaboration this time. Jiang Xi nodded in agreement, and Wei Ming mentioned that Jiang Xi had a way with men and encouraged her to approach her directly if she encountered any difficulties at work.
After being transferred back to the Product Development Department, Jiang Xi directly occupied her previous position and tore up the employment contract, throwing it in the trash bin. Later, Jiang Xi called Lin Shuang to express her gratitude. Jiang Xi asked her how she managed to convince Pan Shi, to which Lin Shuang admitted that she didn't have that much ability. However, she wanted to thank Jiang Xi as her lifesaver. Lin Shuang encountered Gu Xu on the way, and Gu Xu asked her how she came up with the idea to bring in Teacher Lin. Lin Shuang explained that both companies were industry giants, and even without her father's involvement, they would have eventually collaborated. Moreover, she had researched the businesses of both companies. Gu Xu acknowledged that her logic was correct.
Colleagues were discussing gossip about Jiang Xi, unaware that she overheard them. Jiang Xi stated that she didn't mind, and everyone dispersed. Ming Bo mentioned that Jiang Xi had misunderstood him last time, but he understood why she reacted that way. Huang Jiayi originally wanted to invite everyone to have a birthday dinner, but no one showed up. During the birthday party, Lin Shuang was mocked for not changing her clothes.
