Episode 18 recap: Wei Ming successfully promoted to Vice President.
Jiang Xi accompanied Gu Xu to attend the cooperation banquet between Ark and Panshi. Later, Wei Ming mocked her desire to marry into a wealthy family, saying it was just a dream. Jiang Xi simply smiled and didn't take it to heart. Wei Ming and Lin Shuang are still not divorced, but Wei Ming's mother started arranging her son's marriage during the meal. Ming Bo introduced himself to Gu Xu, and everyone at the venue greeted Gu Xu. Jiang Hai spent his own money to buy a bracelet and Jiang Xi immediately scolded him for not knowing how to save money, as she believed he was extravagant and impractical. Lin Shuang was washing dishes when Wei Ming walked in and offered to help. He asked Lin Shuang how she managed to work at Panshi without informing him. Lin Shuang reminded him that his goal was to become a vice president, to which Wei Ming replied that he had already achieved that for her. Lin Shuang asked if he was worried about being surpassed by her. Jiang Xi asked Jiang Hai how a small salesperson like him could earn so much money at the previous month's meeting. Jiang Hai mentioned that he had become the top salesperson every month, so earning money was no big deal.
The female assistant wanted Gu Xu to give her movie tickets. Lin Shuang saw this and commented that it was just how he was. They had gone hiking together before, and she had expected Gu Xu to lend her a hand, but he only offered a few words of encouragement. Lin Shuang recalled a gathering they had in the past.
