Episode 29 recap: Wei Ming's second wedding turns into a big argument between their families.

Huang Jiayi is distressed because she can't reach her parents on the phone at the wedding venue. Wei Ming comforts her and asks what's wrong. Huang Jiayi tells him the truth, and Wei Ming says it's okay since the wedding is for themselves. Otherwise, when their child grows up and asks how their wedding was, they won't have anything to say.

At the start of the wedding, Huang Jiayi finally sees her parents with the support of her father.

Jiayi slowly walks towards Wei Ming with her father, and at that moment, both of them have radiant smiles, making their love declaration. Everyone is happy for them, except for Huang Mu, who wears a helpless and sad expression. Gu Xu tells Lin Shuang that their algorithm has taken a big step forward, and they all admire Lin Shuang's abilities.

Wei Ming finds Huang Dong and expresses his gratitude for raising such a wonderful daughter. Huang Mu responds that she came mainly for Jiayi and not to approve of Wei Ming. If he treats Jiayi poorly, she won't let him off the hook.

When Huang Mu hears someone speaking ill of her son, she immediately stands up and says that it was Jiayi who relentlessly pursued Wei Ming. After all, he is a leader with a car and a house. What doesn't match up with Jiayi? Seeing this, Huang Mu expresses her disapproval of the family's behavior and pulls Jiayi away. Wei Ming reveals that Jiayi is already pregnant. Huang Mu says that they can simply have the child take the Huang surname. Lin Shuang tells Gu Xu that even though they have taken on the lowest-paying jobs, the cost of rent and utilities can still overwhelm a person. Gu Xu feels heartbroken hearing this. Lin Shuang bluntly says that she can only tell him these things personally, and if they were to be revealed, she would no longer see him.

Jiang Xi was studying hard with Ma Ding to fill her knowledge gaps, but she couldn't answer many questions. Ma Ding suggested that Jiang Xi might have had some cognitive issues since childhood. Upon hearing this, Lin Shuang wanted to leave. However, Ma Ding assured her that he had a method to improve Jiang Xi's memory. Jiang Xi then decided to return, and the two of them went to the gym together because Ma Ding mentioned that exercise can stimulate brain function.

Gu Xu told Lin Shuang that if they could secure a 5 million investment, there would be solid follow-up funding. After seeing Xiao Ping Guo, Gu Xu advised Lin Shuang to focus on attracting investments while offering to help take care of Guo Guo. Guo Guo, looking at Gu Xu, said she had a gift to give him. She then took out a pair of slippers, symbolizing that they would resemble a family.

While conducting business outside, Lin Shuang was surprised to see Wei Jie with another woman. However, she didn't mention anything to him. Back at home, Gu Xu said she had made soup for Lin Shuang, but when she brought it out, she found Lin Shuang already asleep. After waking up from a nap, Lin Shuang called out a few times but received no response from Guo Guo. She then saw a note on the table, realizing that Gu Xu had already taken Guo Guo to kindergarten.

Jiang Xi noticed a photo in Lin Shuang's hand, recognizing the person as the new receptionist at the company. Jiang Xi asked Lin Shuang not to mention this to Wei Jie to avoid reminding him of their failed marriage in the future.

Jiang Xi and Mi Xue teamed up for a bidding project. Mi Xue provided her with a lot of encouragement. Wei Ming's decision faced skepticism from colleagues. During a meeting, Huang Jiayi called and warned Wei Ming that if he didn't come home immediately, he shouldn't expect to see her again.

After returning home, Wei Ming found his parents at his house. He learned that they had also brought his cousin and intended to take her away, but his father prevented them from doing so.

Wei Ming had no choice but to use his relationship with Huang Jiayi as leverage, bluntly stating that if she didn't agree, he would immediately take them away. Huang Jiayi reluctantly stopped Wei Ming and allowed them to stay temporarily.

Upon receiving a call from Wei Jie, Lin Shuang called Gu Xu over. Wei Jie mentioned that he had seen Lin Shuang's project proposal and asked about Wei Ming. Lin Shuang informed him that they were divorced and Wei Jie was unaware of her involvement in the company.

Jiang Xi called Lin Shuang to inform her that something significant was happening in Wei Jie's family because the other woman was now pregnant.

Huang Jiayi was having a difficult time at home due to the mismatch in lifestyle and constant arguments with Wei Fu's mother.
