Episode 19 recap: Liuyueqing investigates the food supply.

The commander at the border was delighted, believing that Pei Xun had been confined due to the issue of food supply at the border. They thought that with their push, Pei Xun would surely be finished. A masked figure dressed in black was also present, cautioning the commander not to let their guard down. General Wang arrived and stated that he had been sent by the Emperor to investigate the food supply matter.

Liuyueqing and Han Zhen arrived at a village where a man noticed them and questioned their purpose, noting that they didn't seem like locals. Liuyueqing claimed that they were looking for relatives but hadn't found them yet. Liuyueqing wanted to stay in the area for the night, and after some hesitation, the man decided they didn't seem like bad people and allowed them in.

In the evening, a military officer arrived to collect food, claiming to be a personal guard of the Crown Prince and that he had been sent by the Crown Prince himself to collect provisions. A woman explained that their family had no food left and that they had an eighty-year-old mother and two children who needed to eat. The officer callously remarked that at eighty years old, what use did they have for food, considering it a waste of provisions.

Liuyueqing and Han Zhen couldn't bear to watch and intervened, stopping the officer. Liuyueqing asked who had sent him, and the officer insisted that they were the Crown Prince's personal guards and that it was indeed the Crown Prince who had sent them. Han Zhen instructed Liuyueqing to take the villagers away while he fought with the officer and apprehended him.
