Episode 6 recap: Pei Xun hosted the Spring Hunting Festival.
Pei Hao suggested that since Pei Xun had just become the Crown Prince and was still unfamiliar with many matters, he should handle this particular issue himself. The Emperor asked Pei Xun for his thoughts, and Pei Xun admitted his lack of experience.
However, he believed that he couldn't only rely on past experiences and needed to learn to handle such matters. He expressed his hope that the Emperor would trust him. As the Emperor saw their disagreement, he proposed a solution where they would each shoot arrows at their respective military achievements marked on paper, and the person who hit their own mark would be responsible for organizing the spring hunting event.
In the end, Pei Hao's military achievements were minimal, so it was conceded to Pei Xun. Han Chun congratulated Pei Xun, who stated that it was expected. Han Chun suggested inviting Liu Yueqing to the event, and Pei Xun felt that it was merely a pursuit among men. Han Chun delivered a letter written by Pei Xun to Liu Yueqing. Pei Xun reminded Liu Yueqing of the favor she owed him and threatened to seek help from her fiancé if she didn't attend the spring hunting event. Liu Yueqing had no choice but to agree.
The Qiang Kingdom envoy, Shangguan Yan, always wore a veil, concealing her true identity. Pei Hao planned to send an assassin to kill Shangguan Yan, as it would be detrimental to Pei Xun's hosting of the spring hunting event and would certainly lead to consequences. When Liu Yueqing arrived at the event, she put on a veil and slipped away.
