Episode 6 recap: A Si lingered in Chun Mansion, causing Lu Bu Ping to feel jealous and competitive.
Pei Lan brought chicken soup to Lu Bu Ping, and it was a heartwarming sight to see Lu Bu Ping enjoying the soup. Just then, a hand reached out, and it turned out to be Du Ru Yu. Si Huang Zi arrived at Du Ru Yu's house, still hiding his identity, but he won Du Ru Yu's affection and she treated him very well. Shi Zi also found his way to Du Ru Yu's house.
Pei Lan went to wake up Ke Ling for a meal, but was surprised to find Ke Ling and Yao Wen Yao Wu lying together, drunk and in disarray. Pei Lan quickly closed the door, but Da Niang had already arrived and forcefully pushed the door open. Ke Ling was awakened by Pei Lan's call, and Da Niang saw Yao Wen Yao Wu trying to escape through the window. Da Niang didn't scold them excessively, but the two were clearly guilty. After hurriedly bidding farewell to Da Niang, they left. However, Da Niang noticed someone hiding under the bed. Ke Ling had no choice but to explain that he was A Si, his friend. A Si tried to leave in a hurry but ended up falling to the ground, dizzy and weak.
Da Niang called a doctor, who examined A Si and discovered a knife wound on his body. When Da Niang questioned them about it, Ke Ling admitted that A Si had been injured while protecting him. Seeing A Si regain consciousness, Da Niang felt relieved. She gave them some advice and then left. Only Ke Ling and A Si remained in the room. Da Niang secretly listened to their conversation and felt that A Si was not bad and quite polite.
Pei Lan was talking to Lu Bu Ping in the kitchen, expressing her fondness for him. She was feeding him when Da Niang discovered them. Da Niang disapproved of Lu Bu Ping's laziness and instructed Pei Lan to cook lighter dishes because Ke Ling's friend was injured and couldn't eat greasy food.
Ke Ling forced A Si to join her in robbing the rich to help the poor, and A Si had no choice but to agree. The landlady came in to see A Si and comforted him in a soft voice. She inquired about his family affairs, and A Si said his mother had passed away and his father was in a heavily guarded place. The landlady assumed that A Si's father was in prison and felt even more sorry for him. Chun Fu Ren and Chun Jin Rong were doing needlework, and Chun Fu Ren mentioned A Si, expressing her desire for Ke Ling to marry him. However, Chun Jin Rong believed that A Si was too poor and not an ideal candidate. The landlady said that the character of the person was important in choosing a partner. She instructed Lu Bu Ping to buy a chicken and make chicken soup for A Si. Lu Bu Ping was unhappy and complained that he had been here for so many days and hadn't even seen a chicken claw. The landlady impatiently sent him away.
The lord came to find Si Huang Zi, and Shi Zi and his subordinates were at a loss because they had lost Si Huang Zi. In order to deceive the lord, Shi Zi signaled for someone to impersonate Si Huang Zi. However, the lord quickly saw through the deception and Shi Zi pretended to beat the person. Lu Bu Ping was still upset about the chicken soup incident for A Si. Pei Lan served him a bowl of chicken soup to appease him, and A Lu's anger turned into a smile. But just as he was enjoying the soup, the landlady came and caught him in the act, angrily pulling his ear until it turned red. After the landlady left, Pei Lan quickly served another bowl of soup to soothe him. The landlady personally brought chicken soup to A Si and, knowing about his injured arm, she fed him the soup herself.
Lu Bu Ping couldn't find his sleeve and saw that A Si was wearing it on his arm. Lu Bu Ping grabbed him and went to the landlady to seek justice, but Chun Fu Ren didn't care and even thought A Si looked good in it. When Lu Bu Ping learned that Chun Fu Ren had gone to buy groceries, he decided to teach A Si a lesson. He ordered A Si to hang the clothes to dry and criticized him for not doing it well. Just then, Chun Fu Ren returned and saw Lu Bu Ping bossing A Si around, so she angrily scolded him. Lu Bu Ping vented his anger at Pei Lan, who quickly comforted him. But this time, Lu Bu Ping was truly heartbroken and determined to leave.
Pei Lan came to find Lu Bu Ping, and Lu Bu Ping thought she had come to persuade him to stay. He indignantly told Pei Lan that he had been deeply hurt this time and was determined to leave. Pei Lan told him that A Si was about to leave, and only then did Lu Bu Ping realize the situation. He hurriedly went with Pei Lan to check on things. A Si was bidding farewell to Chun Fu Ren and expressing gratitude for her care. Chun Fu Ren urged him to rest a few more days, but A Si politely declined. However, he made a request to come to Chun Fu Ren's house for meals in the future, and Chun Fu Ren gladly agreed. A Si gave Chun Fu Ren a golden hairpin, which Chun Jin Rong eagerly took. A Si opened the courtyard door, and Shi Zi and the others were fighting in front of the Chun Mansion, blaming each other for losing Si Huang Zi. When they saw A Si coming out, both of them were overjoyed.
