Episode 4 recap: The relationship between Tu Qian Zhou and Wan Yu is growing stronger.

On the day before the competition, Wan Yu suggests practicing, but the others remember the roasted chicken and stinky tofu on the street. Another student knows a secret passage through a hidden wall. Wan Yu has a weight loss plan and doesn't want to go out, while the others rush off to the street, taking advantage of the fact that the Drunken Immortal Inn hasn't been finalized yet. Before leaving, Tu Qian Zhou advises Wan Yu to lock the doors and windows because the courtyard had a haunting incident before.

The assassination of the Grand Musician failed previously, and now he is on high alert. In order to complete the assassination mission, the Southern Qi Kingdom sends Lao Cao to infiltrate this group of students and orders him to eliminate the Grand Musician, Shu Chen, at all costs. Lao Cao just received the order when he noticed a group of people sneaking out, and Wan Yu followed them, crawling through a dog hole to reach the Drunken Immortal Inn. Tu Qian Zhou specifically picks dishes and prawns for Wan Yu, showing great care for her. News of Wan Yu at the Drunken Immortal Inn spreads to her fans, and seeing this, Tu Qian Zhou immediately grabs an umbrella and jumps out of the building with her.

Tu Qian Zhou holds Wan Yu's hand as they run through the streets, but they quickly let go of each other, feeling awkward. Wan Yu finds the night exceptionally beautiful, and the candied hawthorns ahead catch her attention. Tu Qian Zhou immediately buys a string and gives it to her. She takes a bite and finds it delicious, prompting her to offer him a taste. Tu Qian Zhou takes the remaining bite and eats it, and both of them react shyly, looking at each other.
