Episode 5 recap: Hu Jing Tian asked his roommate for help with training and successfully became a member of the first team.

Gu Luo conducted an internal test and organized a relay race between the first and second team members. After Gu Luo made the announcement, Hu Jing Tian went directly to Zhou Yu to team up. Zhou Yu agreed to team up with Hu Jing Tian, but since they were only two people, they couldn't form a complete group. Hu Jing Tian said he would take care of finding two more people.

Soon, the group relay race began, and Liang You Guang appeared at that moment, questioning Gu Luo about what he was up to. Gu Luo explained that he was evaluating talent, which Liang You Guang found a bit exaggerated but still paid serious attention to everyone's performance. After the race ended, Gu Luo announced the results, and Liang You Guang motivated everyone, emphasizing the importance of the internal test as it affected their performance within the team.

Zhou Yu came in fourth place, and Liang You Guang reminded him that if he wanted to improve his performance, he needed to change his swimming style and make some adjustments. Gu Luo's two teams emerged as winners and were quite proud in front of Liang You Guang. However, Liang You Guang had complete confidence in his own team members and wasn't worried. Gu Luo believed that Zhou Yu had potential but wasn't able to fully unleash it under Liang You Guang's guidance. Gu Luo wanted to transfer Zhou Yu to his own team, but Liang You Guang refused.

Hao Di held high expectations for Hu Jing Tian, but Liang You Guang didn't know much about him, so he decided to observe Hu Jing Tian's training. Liang You Guang unexpectedly caught Hu Jing Tian pretending to exercise while playing games, which disappointed him. Liang You Guang criticized Hu Jing Tian and then called Hao Di, blaming him for recommending someone unreliable. After being reprimanded by Liang You Guang, Hu Jing Tian learned from others that Liang You Guang was selecting players for the first team, which made him regret not performing better.

When Hu Jing Tian returned to the dormitory, he straightened up his attitude and wanted his roommates to supervise his training. However, nobody believed he could stay committed and refused to help him. When Hu Jing Tian couldn't find anyone to assist him, he turned to Wu Hao for help. No matter how much he pleaded, Wu Hao refused. After Wu Hao's rejection, Hu Jing Tian started plastering small newspapers about Wu Hao everywhere, making him suddenly famous in the sports school. Wu Hao didn't know why he became the center of attention until he saw Hu Jing Tian badmouthing him, realizing what had happened.

Hu Jing Guang finally apologized to Wu Hao when he had no way to escape from him. He begged Wu Hao to teach him. Wu Hao scolded Hu Jing Guang and blamed him for not focusing on training and for letting down his parents who sent him to the sports school. Therefore, Wu Hao refused to teach him. After being scolded by Wu Hao, Hu Jing Guang was called by the janitor to clean up the scattered magazines and then went to train. Liang You Guang saw Hu Jing Guang training and noticed that he had good swimming skills. So he called Hu Jing Guang to his office for a chat.

Liang You Guang talked to Hu Jing Guang and learned that Hu Jing Guang had the ambition to win the championship. Only then did Liang You Guang give him a brilliant plan. Liang You Guang asked Hu Jing Guang to help at Yu Min Yi's shop. Hu Jing Guang followed the instructions and spent the whole afternoon working at the noodle shop. When Zhou Yu came back and saw Hu Jing Guang, he was surprised. He called Hu Jing Guang out to clarify the situation and learned that Hu Jing Guang wanted his help with training. Zhou Yu readily agreed. Zhou Yu helped Hu Jing Guang with training, and because Hu Jing Guang showed genuine enthusiasm this time, Wu Hao also agreed to assist him in training.

During his free time, Hu Jing Guang thoroughly cleaned the dormitory. Gao Feng came in and immediately understood his intention, so he questioned Hu Jing Guang. Hu Jing Guang explained that he wanted Gao Feng to provide him with technical guidance. Seeing that Hu Jing Guang had indeed cleaned the place well, Gao Feng agreed to help him. In the following days, Gao Feng and the others helped Hu Jing Guang with his training. Though there were some minor differences, they happily resolved them because everyone saw Hu Jing Guang's dedication.

After training for a while, Hu Jing Guang's speed didn't improve. Zhou Yu and the others discussed and concluded that Hu Jing Guang lacked a goal. So they had Wu Hao act as a shark and compete with Hu Jing Guang. They had Hu Jing Guang participate in the competition, but he didn't win against Wu Hao, so he had to clean the dormitory of the three of them. With Wu Hao chasing after him, Hu Jing Guang's speed improved significantly, and he was only 0.3 seconds behind Wu Hao. Hu Jing Guang was grateful for his roommates' help and promised to wash everyone's socks. Zhou Yu and Wu Hao handed him a basin of socks, while the cleanliness-conscious Gao Feng only asked Hu Jing Guang to keep the dormitory clean.

The internal test was approaching, and Zhou Yu and the others prepared a gift for Hu Jing Guang, hoping that he would succeed in the test and become a member of the main team. Hu Jing Guang successfully passed the internal test, and everyone anxiously waited for the results. When they finally received the news, they all breathed a sigh of relief and demanded that Hu Jing Guang treat them to a meal. Hu Jing Guang suggested going to Yu Min Yi's noodle shop. Initially, there were objections to Hu Jing Guang choosing the location, but when they heard it was Zhou Yu's family's noodle shop, everyone had no objections.
