Episode 22 recap: The truth is revealed.
When Wei Gaoyang started working at the Jiang Group, he intentionally staged a play with Wei Gaoqian to bring her closer to Jiang Shaojie. He wanted Jiang Shaojie to believe that Wei Gaoqian was beautiful and kind-hearted, in order to make Jiang Shaojie develop feelings for her. Jiang Shaojie was captivated by Wei Gaoqian and he would write everything about her in his notebook, including her scent, her likes and dislikes, and how adorable she was in his eyes.
Suddenly, Jiang Shaoheng snatched Jiang Shaojie's notebook. While the brothers were playing and laughing by the seaside, Jiang Shaoheng almost fell into the sea, but Jiang Shaojie managed to hold him back, resulting in himself falling into the water and becoming disabled. Jiang Shaojie was torn, as he didn't want to burden Wei Gaoqian. However, unexpectedly, Wei Gaoqian secretly visited Jiang Shaojie in the hospital to reassure him that her feelings for him were genuine and she was willing to be with him. But when it came time for Jiang Shaojie to publicly announce their relationship, she chose to keep it hidden, claiming that she wanted to help him manage the company by being stationed as his secretary by Jiang Donghai's side.
Unaware of Wei Gaoqian's conspiracy, Jiang Shaojie happily agreed and felt fortunate to have such a devoted lover. In front of Jiang Shaojie, Wei Gaoqian pretended that Jiang Donghai had forced her into a physical relationship while intoxicated, thus shattering Jiang Shaojie emotionally and driving him to consider suicide. Meanwhile, she enjoyed her life attached to Jiang Donghai and planned to use their child as a means to gain control over the Jiang Group.
Wei Gaoyang and Wei Gaoqian thought they had everything under control and confessed their malicious intentions. However, they were unaware that Jiang Donghai had not been unconscious and had heard everything clearly.
