Episode 9 recap: Su Banxia is once again targeted by Wei Gaoyang.

Jiang Shaoheng, Su Banxia, Duan Zhao, and Sang Le gather together. Duan Zhao reveals the incident where he encountered Sang Le wearing a delivery uniform at Su Banxia's doorstep. Jiang Shaoheng immediately realizes that on the day Su Banxia was hit by a car, it was a scheme devised by Su Banxia and Sang Le. Sang Le promptly counters by mentioning that Jiang Shaoheng bought a house next to Su Banxia, scoring a point for himself. Sang Le and Su Banxia go to the restroom together, where they learn that Su Banxia hasn't taken the final step with Jiang Shaoheng. Sang Le advises Su Banxia to trust Jiang Shaoheng, assuring her that he is a man worth entrusting, unlike Wei Gaoyang, who is a scumbag.

Duan Zhao admires Jiang Shaoheng's tactics, as he was able to immediately confront Su Banxia when she discovered his deception that day and make her even more reliant on him. However, Duan Zhao also notices that Jiang Shaoheng is acting a bit strange, as if he has developed genuine feelings. Duan Zhao believes it's only natural for Jiang Shaoheng to develop feelings for Su Banxia, but Jiang Shaoheng cannot accept this fact.

Jiang Shaoheng's emotions are complicated, and he accidentally drinks too much. Su Banxia helps him back home, and while he expresses his fears, she takes the initiative to kiss him. Jiang Shaoheng falls asleep on Su Banxia's shoulder the next second, and when he wakes up the next day, he realizes that he drank too much and worries that he might have said something he shouldn't have. However, Su Banxia acts as usual and shows no signs of discomfort. Mr. Wang is very satisfied with the clothing designs created by Su Banxia. When Su Banxia and Jiang Shaoheng attend a cocktail party, Wei Gaoyang targets Su Banxia. Wei Gaoyang is unwilling to let his efforts go to waste and attempts to force himself on Su Banxia while she goes to the restroom. This triggers painful memories for Su Banxia, but fortunately, Jiang Shaoheng arrives in time to save her.
