Episode 15 recap: Su Xiaohuan is caught in a dilemma of love and hate.
Buqiu forcibly restrains himself, not wanting to harm Su Xiaohuan. He even stabs himself to create a reason for him to leave. Su Xiaohuan witnesses Buqiu's willingness to hurt himself rather than hurt her and helps him tend to his wound. Su Xiaohuan is taken aback by Buqiu's willingness to sacrifice for her and seal himself off.
At that moment, Su Xiaohuan is unsure whether Buqiu is truly the person who tried to kill her. She helps Buqiu remove the dagger from his chest, getting very close to him in the process. Su Xiaohuan is worried about causing Buqiu pain, but Buqiu holds her hand and swiftly pulls the dagger out of his chest. Su Xiaohuan breathes a sigh of relief and looks into Buqiu's eyes, feeling a bit shy. She quickly finds an excuse to help him bandage his wound.
In the meantime, tears flow from Buqiu's eyes, and Su Xiaohuan carefully tends to his wound. Although Buqiu was only injured in the chest, Su Xiaohuan ends up bandaging his head as well. She doesn't know how to face Buqiu now, considering the debt of saving her life that Buqiu owes her.
The next day, Buqiu goes out and finds that Su Xiaohuan has wrapped herself in snow. Buqiu asks Su Xiaohuan what she's doing, and she says she wants to bury herself in the snow and asks Buqiu not to dig her out. Buqiu offers to grant Su Xiaohuan a wish, but she feels that her wish is impossible to fulfill. Buqiu remembers that Su Xiaohuan loves to watch lantern festivals, especially the one with a large goose reaching for the moon. In the evening, Buqiu takes Su Xiaohuan to the streets, and she hangs a lantern at the door just like before. When Buqiu asks her about it, she can only say it's beautiful. Buqiu playfully mentions that hanging a lantern might attract thieves, and Su Xiaohuan quickly finds an excuse to pull Buqiu away.
On the street, Su Xiaohuan sees a stray dog and shares her chicken leg with it. Meanwhile, Qiansui Daren secretly arrives at Buqiu's sleeping quarters. Su Xiaohuan misses the fireworks display, and Buqiu holds her in his arms. On the other side, Qiansui Daren is unraveling the mysteries of the scroll.
