Episode 4 recap: Su Xiaohuan devises a plan to get close to Boqiu
Su Xiaohuan didn't expect that on her first day, Boqiu would ask her to warm his bed. Su Xiaohuan was afraid of the icy bed, and despite it being so cold, she had to help warm the bed herself. So, Su Xiaohuan brought out her good friend Xiao Cihuijingkun and even said that she couldn't sleep without him. Su Xiaohuan planned to wait until Boqiu fell asleep and then steal his fur.
Su Xiaohuan asked Boqiu why he wasn't sleeping, and Boqiu said that when he closed his eyes, he would think of things that happened over a thousand years. Su Xiaohuan also said that she would have the same dream, where she saw a little girl whose family was killed. She begged the person not to kill, but they didn't listen. Before Su Xiaohuan could finish speaking, Boqiu fell asleep with his eyes closed. Su Xiaohuan thought her opportunity had come, but instead of getting the tail fur, her hand was pressed all night.
Su Xiaohuan felt that getting Boqiu's tail fur was an extremely difficult task. She even worried that if she didn't get the fur soon, Boqiu might eat her. While she was sweeping, feeling sad for herself after a hundred years, Boqiu approached her and asked what she was thinking about. Su Xiaohuan didn't say anything, she just asked him how he liked to eat. Boqiu said he liked to eat raw, and then he opened his mouth towards Su Xiaohuan. Su Xiaohuan wasn't afraid and even closed her eyes, allowing Boqiu to "eat" her, but Boqiu found it uninteresting and said he wouldn't tease her anymore.
Boqiu saw that Su Xiaohuan was behaving well that day, so he said he would grant her one wish. Su Xiaohuan wanted to get Boqiu's fur, but Boqiu refused. In that case, Su Xiaohuan asked Boqiu to treat her to a satisfying meal, and Boqiu agreed. However, the food wasn't delicious at all, it was like chewing on wax, and Su Xiaohuan even found a hair in it. She thought it was the fur of a fox demon and became even happier.
Su Xiaohuan was still hesitant about whether to hand over the item to Qiansui. Just then, Qiansui arrived, and Su Xiaohuan gave him the tail fur. Qiansui asked Su Xiaohuan to lure the fox demon into the Qimen formation and said that after this task, he would reveal her true identity to her.
At night, Su Xiaohuan entered Boqiu's sleeping chamber and saw him painting. In the painting, there was a woman in front and a fox behind her. Su Xiaohuan even asked if it was a depiction of a fox demon eating a girl, but Boqiu said it was a girl eating a fox. It startled Su Xiaohuan.
