Episode 7 recap: Su Xiaohuan swears to kill Boqiu.
Lord Qiansui comes over to take Su Xiaohuan away. Su Xiaohuan is worried that she will be tortured by Lord Qiansui. She contemplates that if Lord Qiansui intends to harm her, she will reveal all of Lord Qiansui's secrets. However, Lord Qiansui doesn't mention any harm against Su Xiaohuan.
Su Xiaohuan continues to explain, but Boqiu asks Lord Qiansui to take Su Xiaohuan for interrogation. If they cannot uncover the truth, Lord Qiansui will dispose of Su Xiaohuan. Su Xiaohuan believes that she is undoubtedly doomed. However, after Lord Qiansui takes Su Xiaohuan away, she contemplates whether she should assassinate Lord Qiansui. There is an opportunity for assassination, but the chances of her dying are also 100 percent. Lord Qiansui doesn't imprison Su Xiaohuan but takes her back to her former residence.
The common people here don't even have a mouthful of food, and there are sick and feverish children everywhere. Some have even starved to death. Lord Qiansui quickly orders her subordinates to bring all the food from the mansion. Su Xiaohuan also sees Lord Qiansui's sincerity, and now she believes that Lord Qiansui is the former crown prince.
Lord Qiansui says that her own family was also persecuted by the Fox Demon, and she had to go into hiding to await the day of revenge. Su Xiaohuan didn't expect that Lord Qiansui had experienced so much. Lord Qiansui also warns Su Xiaohuan not to be blinded by the current superficial appearance of the Fox Demon. A child comes over, asking Su Xiaohuan for food. Su Xiaohuan decides to sell her jade pendant because she feels responsible for the suffering of the common people and cannot continue like this.
When Lord Qiansui learns about it, she reveals that Su Xiaohuan is the daughter of the Prime Minister. They both originally had jade pendants because they were childhood friends. The Prime Minister sacrificed his own son as the crown prince to appease the Fox Demon and protect Lord Qiansui. Su Xiaohuan asks about the whereabouts of her parents, and Lord Qiansui reveals that they were all killed by the Fox Demon. Su Xiaohuan remembers that her dream was actually true and, looking at the pitiful common people, swears to seek revenge. Su Xiaohuan knows she is the only one who can get close to the Fox Demon, and therefore, she has the best opportunity to kill it.
After investigation, it is discovered that only the Heaven Scroll and the Earth Scroll can kill the Fox Demon. However, the Fox Demon has already found them, and only members of the royal family can comprehend their secrets. Lord Qiansui draws symbols on Su Xiaohuan's hand to help her find the Earth Scroll as soon as possible.
