Episode 9 recap: The fox demon leaves a mark to protect Xiao Huan.
As soon as Su Xiao Huan stepped out of the door, she encountered an attack from black-clad individuals. Fortunately, with the help of Lord Qiansui, Su Xiao Huan managed to avoid danger. Lord Qiansui treated Su Xiao Huan very well and even took off the kitchen knife from her head. Su Xiao Huan quickly prepared to go back since if Bao Qiu found out, he would surely scold her for eating.
Upon returning, Bao Qiu questioned her about where she had been. Su Xiao Huan hurriedly explained, but Bao Qiu used magic to leave a mark on her head. Bao Qiu deliberately told Su Xiao Huan that it was a bug he left behind. If Su Xiao Huan did anything that went against his wishes, the bug would crawl into their stomachs. Su Xiao Huan would be in trouble if she left Bao Qiu's scent.
Throughout the day, Su Xiao Huan held onto Bao Qiu's clothes, fearing that the bug would crawl into her body. Su Xiao Huan overheard the maidservants talking about how she had spent the whole night with Bao Qiu and must have done something indecent. This made her very angry, and she started saying that Bao Qiu was incapable of doing anything. Suddenly, all the maidservants knelt down, and Su Xiao Huan thought it was because of her charm that nobody dared to get angry with her. In reality, Bao Qiu had already been standing behind Su Xiao Huan, and the maidservants knelt down upon seeing him.
Upon hearing Su Xiao Huan's words about him being incapable, Bao Qiu directly carried her and headed towards the bedroom, throwing her onto the bed. Lord Qiansui came today to tell Su Xiao Huan that tonight is the night of a lunar eclipse, and it is also the weakest moment for Bao Qiu. Every time, Bao Qiu would hide away. Lord Qiansui asked Su Xiao Huan to send a signal if she found Bao Qiu's hiding place, and Su Xiao Huan agreed.
